At the time, the safety of my newly purchased phone was an important factor. I looked at video reviews and this came highly recommended. I did not regret my purchase. I only wish that it was available at a slightly lower price. It was retailing at about £35.00 at the time. I have bought other phone holders since, as I have multiple tripods. Some of the lower priced tripods do come with a flimsy phone holder. I would not feel safe using those, in case of damage to my phone. The construction of this product is absolutely solid, using metal as the main material. I also love the knob at the back of the holder that is so tactile and easy to use. You just turn it to get your phone to the desired angle and lock it into place with a turn of the locking mechanism. Does a pixel pro 7 fit?** A: Yes it would. My Samsung S22 ultra knits Mous case fits and it's 8.5cm wide Yours should fit easily **Q: Will this slot into a dslr hot shoe? So I could attach my phone to this onto the top of my dslr?** A: No it's for arca Swiss so much larger. **Q: Should I get this or a smallrig universal video rig cage?** A: The main difference is that Ulanzi mount is very compact whereas the SmallRig cage is much larger and therefore much less portable. But the cage is more protective and you can more easily attach accessories to it, such as side handles, lights and microphones.
