Perfect as long as you don't need higher voltage. - Bought a few of these for use with IP phone systems. It's one of the cheaper options for a managed switch with 8 ports of power. Do note that it only has 62 watts available and I don't like getting really close to the maximum wattage. There is a SF302-08MP that has 124 watts available! It's POE, not POE+ so a max of 15 watts per port (up to the 62 watts total still). It's also one of the few switches that has 8 actual POE Ports. Since you have 2 more ports for uplink and downlink, you actually get 8 POE ports! I have a couple of these on sites where we have 8 phones of about five watts each plugged into these. We've used them for years without a hiccup. It's got good managed options too. In my usage, I'm just setting up vlans, so I'm not doing anything special with them. But they work. I recommend this with no hesitation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works As Advertised *by R***T on August 21, 2013* I use this switch to run a multichannel POE HD camera setup with a PC. The initial setup with this switch took longer than I'd like to admit, but this is something that I see with just about every piece of network equipment from routers to cameras the first time they get hooked up. It just takes more work than it should to find their initial network location. I'm not a network engineer, and I don't want to learn anymore than I have to about the subject. I'm quite content to remain a technologically savvy consumer with slightly more complex needs than the ordinary person. Thankfully, once configured, which, when you finally do login, is relatively straight forward(at least for my simple needs), this switch remembers everything and those settings you make remain there waiting for you every time you turn it on (for my uses, this switch is temporarily set up in remote locations, runs for a few hours and then is broken down and packed away).
