I really like this sponge it is just enough of a scrub to get off dead skin, but not too harsh that it is over abrasive. The only issue is that it starts to fall apart after about 2 months, but I just purchase a new one.

I like this sponge. I bought it to try using it instead of a pouf. Because it is charcoal, I expected it to be exfoliating, but it is not (or at least, it does not feel like it is). Instead, when it is wet, it swells up and becomes very smooth and jelly-like on top - kind of like a smoother version of a kitchen sponge. I use it with an exfoliating body gel and that works for me.I took off one star because the sponge does not smell great. The first time I used it, I only let it soak long enough for it to swell up before trying it out in the shower. It left a charcoal-ish smell on my skin that would not rinse off. After that, I put it in a bowl of water to soak overnight, which seemed to fix the issue for the most part. The sponge itself still kind of smells, but it doesn't leave any scent behind anymore, and it does feel silky on my skin.

4stars Interesting product. Still trying to figure out how it works best as vs a loofah. Got it because of how much it touted skin changes...I have only seen an increase in some small acne spots on my body that were never there before... and when I get out of the shower a ton of dry skin that flakes.Amended 7/11/17. Would give it 3 stars. Not impressed and did not so anything it said it would. In fact got acne like dogs on my back. Had to take a loofah over a couple weeks to get rid of them. Not worth the money.Amended 81/17. Was offered a refund from vendor. Explained issue and they were very understanding. It probably was just something g that didn't work well for personally.

I've used this during 3 showers now and I am enjoying it. It lathers really well and rinses off rather easily which is great because I don't like when the common loofah takes forever to rinse all of the soap off of. I haven't been using this product long enough to determine if it benefits my sensitive skin. It is definitely softer than I anticipated. I am used to lathering with something a bit more rough to exfoliate with, but I am hoping the benefits of the charcoal will outweigh how soft of a scrubie this sponge is. The direction were precise. It needed to be held under water for about 5 minutes in order to grow in size and soften up. It's kept in the shower on a hook and although it dries entirely by the next use, it remains pretty soft and only takes 30 seconds in the water to loosen up and is ready to be used again. It had an interesting smell when first opened but that smell has since been washed away. As of now, I am enjoying this product and would buy again.

This sponge smells horrible. I used it once and not only did I smell awful but my whole bathroom wreaked for a week. It was really hard to get the smell out of the bathroom after using this sponge just one time.

I have purchased various types of charcoal sponges from different companies in the past, and they all tend to fall apart within a month or two of using them. This one seems to actually have some durability (now 2 months old, and still in great condition).I also like the shape this item better than the little circular sponges from other charcoal sponge orders - it's easier to handle in the shower. Rated 5/5 - the only improvement I can think of is it would be nice/convenient if it came with a suction cup - I used my old one, but if it's your first time purchasing, you definitely need one.

I've been pleasantly surprised with how well this sponge works. I always hated buying the plastic pouf type sponges that don't seem to last and harbor all kinds of fun bacteria. Although it's more expensive, this sponge seems to hold up just fine and after the initial few uses of breaking it in, it really lathers well. I only wish it were a little larger.

I use this item in the shower with body wash. Buy them every couple of months.

It was great when I first received it. Worked great but then within 2 weeks it started to completely fall apart. I needed up having to throw it out. Wouldn’t really recommend this if you need something that will last.

It perpetually feels kinda slimy, but in a soft way? Not good at exfoliating, very gentle. Does need very little soap as it suggests, but losses soap quickly. Squeezing it out feels like it's going to split in my hand.
