Perfect replacements for 29G Biocube stock lighting!
I purchased this bulb for m 29g Biocube. Basically, this is just a replacement bulb for the stock bulb that comes with the Biocube originally. If for some reason you are not familiar with this type of bulb, I can give some additional information. A lot of people believe the Biocube's lighting should be upgraded in order to keep corals growing nicely. I've had my Biocube for one year now and these stock bulbs work just fine. I have a wide variety of corals in my tank, from softies, to LPS, and even some SPS corals, all of which are growing quite nicely.I do recommend changing out your lighting once every 9-12 months as they do start to lose their "potency" over time. If you have a tank that will fit these bulbs and are wondering if they are sufficient for growing coral, the answer is yes. Although they need to be replaced (whereas LEDs do not), you can buy these bulbs for many years before the cost savings of an expensive LED setup kick in.Perfect fit for the 29G Biocube and provide some great lighting for my reef. Highly recommended.

Let there be light...
It lights up...like its supposed to... Its a good light I guess, my husband got it for his disgusting green & red slim filled salt water tank. It does a great job lighting the crusty nasty tank up, and if you take the magnet scrubber and scrub a little port hole in the glass... you can see the fish in it.... but only if you can tolerate standing there listening to the annoyingly loud constant "hum" of the protein skimmer. Sometimes you can watch them eat, if you can get the food past a barrage of water lines and cords sticking out all over. Oh, sorry off subject.... Its a good hard working light, that must be of fine quality to be able to survive my husbands nasty tank. So, I'll give it a great rating because, for it to still shine with all of the crusty dried salt eating everything in sight... it must be great!!

Was a great product years ago, not anymore
These lights have not been able to keep up with the new technology within LED plant systems now. I bought this as a replacement bulb for my coralife light system... 2 bulbs purchased and both went out within roughly 4 months. They were used above a 30 gallon heavily planted tank and it was successful in growing a tank full of dwarf hairgrass. It did provide ridiculous light while it worked but these lights do need to be replaced yearly if they even make it that long. Save the cash for a proper plant LED system from Marineland or Fluval. They do much better and require little to no maintenance. I bought a Marineland Plant LED system about 2 and a half years ago, I've never had to change anything on it except the timer when my kid brother accidentally unplugs it.

The lamp works. Change of manufacturer specs.
The lamp works fine, but since I first bought my aquarium, they've changed the specs on the 4 pins that plug the lamp into the lamp holder and they're now slightly larger. The lamp now has to be forced into the socket.I would recommend this but with caution

Very Vibrant illumination
I use this for my 30 gallon refugium. It creates plenty of Coralin Algae and my plants that keep my Nitrates in Check thrive with it. My fixture has a cooling fan and hopefully yours does to as it it gets a little warm down there. Raises my water temp more than the LED's on my tank. The best part of it is the color of the light. Works excellent for what I need it for.

I am very displeased with amazon and these bulbs.
Second time I've gotten a defective 10,000 K lamp from amazon. And second time I am going through the return process. Last year when the lamps were needing replacement, in my Biocube 29g, I ordered the normal 36 watt 10000K and 36 watt actinic lamps. The 10000 k lamp I received for some reason had the same hue as the actinic lamp and was still labeled 10000k on the lamp! (which had to of been a manufacture defect)I returned the lamp. This year I decided to try again because the pricing is reasonably better than the local stores $5 to even $10 cheaper than in my area. The 10,000k lamp I received this time around was defective and did not light up, only flickered about once or twice before giving out. I am now waiting for a replacement, surely if something is wrong with this one I will buy my aquarium products elsewhere from now on.Also note the actinic lamp I received this year was in excellent condition but was also from an out side vender on amazon.

Great Bulb
I had been looking all over the place for these bulbs. I have a custom type tank that uses these bulbs. Apparently they also fit the BioCube. None of the Petsmarts or Petcos or even Walmarts near me carry these. They have them on their websites, but Amazon was the cheapest. Definitely works as expected and is super bright. My fish are happy now that they have light again!

Great bulb
Using to replace bulb in coralife biocube. Great bulbs, last one lasted 5 years. Run this with a actinic bulb as well and keep leather corals, frogspawn corals, and clove polyps.
