Springfield Leather Company's Full Grain Veg Tan Double Shoulder's (4-6ft, Craftsman Grade)

I purchased a half shoulder from the Springfield Leather Company 8-9 oz. 4-6 square feet. I purchased this leather to make gun holsters, so far I have made 3 holsters, one for a 38 caliber,one for a Ruger 22 and a cross draw holster for a black powder 44 Colt revolver. Two of the holstersare the saddle or pancake style. I have also made seven key fobs for a few people, I have made fourimages of a cross, one 3x5 and four 5x7 all turned out good and I have learned a different wayto do my embossing work without using a swivel knife. The leather becomes very easy to workwith after applying water, I have used Neatsfoot oil on the leather to make it a little darker,I have also used Rit all purpose dye on my projects to get the color that I want beforeapplying Neatsfoot oil.The leather is high quality and I will be buying another 5 square foot piece to make moreholsters and other creations. I just need to start selling the things that I am making? 😊Springfield Leather Company is a good company to buy from, I won't buy from a differentcompany. If the ad states that the leather is Sold By and Shipped By Springfield LeatherCompany then I would buy, be sure to check the sold by shipped by section.

I thought I was ordering 8-9 oz leather however I received 5-7 oz, not quite a thick as I needed for bowie knife sheath. I'll use it for something else but next time I'll be sure that the add states the leather thickness.

Have not used it yet but, Springfield leather looks to be better.

I have purchased leather from tandy for years, due to covid I can't just walk in and get some leather so on a whim and necessity I got this.I am extremly impressed with the fine quality of the piece I got that I will surly get more.It is thicker than I normally get but it is fine and beautiful leather for the price.I have used almost all of it already.I as m so happy with this purchase.

When ordering "shoulders, I had expected to receive leather with significant amount of wrinkles resulting in a considerable trim loss. The two shoulders which arrived are near perfect, one is 100% tooling quality and the other, the very minor amount of wrinkles are so faint as to be barely visible. As I expect to use the leather for knife sheaths, that translates into NOT having to work around ANY imperfections. All of the leather is completely suitable for my intended purpose.

Veg tan double shoulder. I may be wrong but with the edge creases coming in almost 8 inches on one side I feel like this about half what I played for. Last 2 orders I was very pleased with. Not sure this time.

Purchased this leather 3 times I was happy with it.received decent pieces 99% usable.Just don't be in a hurry to get it. Slow shipping.

It’s been a long time since I had done any tooling (about 3 years) but I gotta say I’m very impressed with this leather! It’s a great price, shipped in no time, and takes the stamps and swivel knife very well! Would definitely recommend to anyone, whether you’re into leather craft as a hobby or a profession!
