Will this handle a 10 Ton compressor?

Yes. This 60 Amp contactor is rated for high inrush currents typical of 10-ton scroll or reciprocating compressors. It is built to handle the switching cycles of commercial HVACR. Match coil voltage and make sure the Amps equal or Higher, never lower

What size transformer do I need for the 24V coil?

This is a large frame 60A contactor, the coil requires more power to close than smaller units. We recommend a 80 VA control transformer or larger to ensure reliable operation. Using a small VA might cause voltage drops or contactor chattering.

Does this contactor support Auxiliary Contacts?

Yes. This model features standard mounting points on the side for adding SUNLEE auxiliary contact blocks (Snap-on type), check our SUNLEE Auxiliary switch.

Will this work for heating elements?

Yes. This contactor is rated for 60 Amps Inductive (Motors) and 75 Amps Resistive (Heating). It is an excellent choice for controlling electric heating banks in furnaces or industrial heaters that use a 24V control signal.

My old contactor buzzes/hums — will replacing it fix that?
