All-encompassing and interesting!
I read this book for a report in my college-level entomology class. I thought it was a perfectly informative and interesting read. I enjoyed that every now and then the authors include a little bit of humor to keep things light, and there are so many different scientists cited, which makes it nice to find more information if you are looking for it. Involves a lot of different species, but the book is broken down in a nice and organized way throughout the text and within the chapters. This would be nice as a somewhat heavier "read all the way through" book or a "just when you need it" guide.

Cockroaches On Mars?
Legend has it that after man and after civilization the cockroaches shall overcome and reign supreme. But I've heard that the only reason they remain alive at all in temperate belts is because we keep them warm and fed each winter. So deduction would conclude that once we are gone and the freezing winter arrives they shall Surcome to the temperature and be unable to scrounge for nourishment , therefore withering, dying, and drying. In warmer climates the order of ecology should keep them in check. The best we have seen were: off Pablo Neruda ave. en Guadalajara Mexico, Manhattan in NYC, and the beef masters in the alleys just offa Rush street 2am Chicago.Well anyway - this is a great comprehensive book on these eternal symbiotic friends. We prefer em with Jamaican hot sauce!
