save your money, grinder broke after a few uses. It’s stuck on
EDIT-The grinder is stuck on, no way to make coffee and no way to turn it off. Of course the seller is no help.Absolutely amazing. Every morning my husband needs to have coffee, and he sits and grinds his beans with a handheld grinder then makes the coffee. Well not anymore, this does the grinding for you! Fresh ground coffee every morning with little work involved. He puts the beans in at night, grinds them and then in the morning its all set to brew by itself. The size is perfect, I thought it was going to be huge and bulky on the counter but it isn't. Very easy to use and just as easy to clean. The display is nice and bright and well labeled. I definitely recommend this if you love fresh ground coffee daily. You also can use ground coffee but with something so easy and convenient as this, why would you. Wish we would have found this sooner.

He like the idea to be able to use with ground ...
I got it as a present for my hubby. He like the idea to be able to use with ground or whole coffee. The complain that he has is the clock. Doesn't work properly.

Good Coffee - BAD CLOCK!
I don't like giving negative reviews, but unfortunately I have to in this case. Shipping was very fast, and I was excited to brew my first freshly ground coffee in years. As I was setting it up, I noticed it only kept time in 24 hour / military format. That wasn't a problem for me - just unusual. As I poured in the water, I noticed it dripped a bit from the hinge area while filling. Not great to see, but not a big issue either. I brewed my first cup, and it was great. The grinder works very well. Cleanup is a bit more of a hassle than I expected, as you have to remove not only the filter, but the housing that holds the filter. I like to save the grounds for compost, and you can only get about 3/4 of the grounds out without rinsing. Still, all in all I was ok with this unit. So I programmed the unit to grind & brew coffee for the next morning at 6am. When I heard the grinder start, I noticed it was 6:08 am. I looked at the clock, and the coffee maker time was slow by 8 minutes in less than 24 hours. I thought maybe I had set the time incorrectly, so I decided to give it another day. On day 2, it was off by 16 minutes, so that was a deal killer. I can't use a coffee maker that's off by almost an hour every week. I have boxed it up & am returning today.🙁

Looks sleek, compact, makes great coffee!
I love the taste of fresh ground coffee, and hate the mess of grinding & transferring from a grinder to the coffee maker. I've been using a Cuisinart grind & brew for many years, but always lamented that it was too tall to fit under my kitchen cabinets. When it started leaking recently, I began shopping for a new grind & brew, only to discover that every brand was too tall to fit under my cabinets. Except Gourmia. I knew nothing about the company but found they were headquartered in Brooklyn, NY and made a wide variety of kitchen appliances. I took a chance and ordered it.The design is compact and aesthetically pleasing. It has a unique basket configuration, which took me a while to figure out. The top piece shifts to the right, and you lift the whole thing out with the basket and grinder in one piece. The basket is unusual as well, in that it has no bottom, only sides. The bottom is open because the grinding blades are below it. So you lift the whole mechanism out to clean it, and pretty much the only way you can clean it is to dump the grinds in the sink. I've heard differing views on whether or not coffee grounds are good for garbage disposals. So far, it seems okay. The coffee is quite good, rich. Certainly as good as my Cuisinart, maybe better. As promised, it slips under my kitchen cabinets, so I can tuck it away unobtrusively in the the corner. I'm quite happy with it.The only downside is that the clock doesn't work -- apparently a known issue, and hopefully one they will be correcting; I'm deducting one star for that. If you rely on your programmer to have your coffee brewed when you wake up in the morning, this isn't the machine for you. If, however, you can manage to stumble to the coffeemaker and flip it on manually in the mornings, you'll be just fine, and enjoy a good cup of java, without wrecking the planet with all those freakin' k-cups. ;-)

Messy, hard to Clean
Strange messy way of grinding and brewing coffee, Did i mention MESSY no way to dump grinds without making a mess and having to use several gallons of water to rinse and clean out grind/brew area, i'm Disappointed, I liked the looks, liked the speed of Brew, even the Grind wasn't as loud as my old Grind and Brew, but what a mess to Clean and make a second Pot of Coffee. Septic systems don't care for Coffee grinds and way to many Grinds go down the drain to clean this one. I won't buy another one, have gone back to my old Grind and Brew, will pass this along to the kids, or sell in a garage sale

I had purchased this product meant as a gift for my father's 50th Birthday. In spite of ordering the product 20 days before, the product arrived almost a month after I placed the order. When it did arrive, the glass carafe was shattered to bits and I dare not order a replacement because it would take another month. Absolutely unprofessional.
