Durable and fun!
Nifty little truck . Really enjoyed testing this little guy. Body is transformable from a lower profile for speed or higher profile for better clearance. Fairly fast although not a speed demon . With that being said i think it would actually be fine for a year or so younger then the recommended. Fairly easy to control. Does fine in heavy leaves and for climbing. We flipped it several times and jumping curbs seemed to hold up well. Comes with everything you need to start having fun except for 2 aa batteries for the remote. Includes 2 batteries for the truck and should give you 20-30 minutes of playing time depending no how you use it. Soft knobby tires for off-roading. Truck is 4wd with steering trimmer control. For the price with all that is included I would consider this a good value and a great gift for all ages.

A fun vehicle
This is just a fun little vehicle to play with. It's very durable and goes anywhere. It's not fast but it is a good speed to enjoy outside over obstacles. I had it in grass taller than the vehicle and never once did I have to go get it. The battery lasts a very long time, after running it outside for what seemed like 45 minutes I brought it inside and ran it for a long time (chasing the cats) until it finally died. This was only one batter I have not installed the other one yet.The only down side if there is one is the remote is a little small for adult hands. Kids will like that part of it because it is very easy for them to handle. The steering is non-proportional which took a little getting used to but that is no reason not to purchase this. You will have a great time with this vehicle and for less than $30 US you sure can't go wrong with it.

Inexpensive RC car that is fun and mostly works well
Stars: 4Disclosure: I received the product for free in exchange for writing a review. The review content was not influenced. The product was well packaged and undamaged on opening. It was also packaged in styrofoam with no plastic blister packaging.Battery: The product comes with 2 rechargable batteries and a USB cord that connects to the batteries. You have to supply your own wall charger. One battery is packaged inside the car, one is packaged separately in a plastic bag. The batteries are recharged by plugging them directly into the USB cable with a nonstandard connection. There is no port on the car for recharging. The first thing you have to do before using the car is opening the battery compartment and plugging in the battery. The case is sealed with a latch and a small screw. A properly sized screwdriver is provided. Given that the batteries will likely need to be recharged often, needing a screwdriver to replace them is somewhat annoying. The battery compartment is oddly shaped, being tight in one direction. The latch won't close unless the battery is securely in position, which takes a bit of manipulation. The battery takes approximately 90 min to charge. I don't know the limit of the battery life, but it worked through at least one 30-45 min session of on-and-off use.Control: The remote control pairs quickly with the car when both are controller and car are turned on. The controller is a bidirectional trigger with a steering wheel. I haven't used this type of controller before. Pulling the trigger (toward you) causes the car to go forward. Pushing it away is reverse. That means you are moving the trigger in the opposite direction of motion, which is somewhat counterintuitive. I am not sure if this is a standard for RC cars. Others I have used (in similar price range) have had joystick-style controllers. The steering is imprecise. The wheel seems to have only three settings: straight, left, and right. As far as I can tell, you can only make a single radius turn.Speed: The car only has 1 speed, which is (thankfully) far less than the 30 mph in the ad copy. I didn't measure it, but it seemed less than the 9 mph in the description (probably more like 3-4 on sidewalk concrete, by my estimate).Range: I would estimate that the remote control works over ~200-250 ft, which seems reasonable for a toy of this type.Terrain: It works well on concrete and lawn grass. It climbs over river rocks (it is, as advertised, a "rock crawler"). It will ride on driveways and climb or travel on inclined street gutters. It will get stuck on obstacles if it gets wedged on something approximately the size of the tires.Durability: I haven't had it that long. I handed it over to kids. They crashed it enough times to show that it can withstand some bangs without visible damage. One rather sudden full speed turn did result in a roll over and one of the tires falling off (I am not sure how it happened). It was easily put back in place.Overall: This is a relatively inexpensive RC car. I would have expected less from something in its price range (<=$30). For what it is, it works and it works well.

Rugged Car, Easy to Use and Fun to Play With
Great product for adults and kids. This is the second product I’ve purchased from Holyton and I’m never disappointed. The RC vehicle lives up to all of the promises in the product description. It is rugged and can climb every hill or incline I’ve tried. The batteries last a full 90 minutes and recharge quickly. I can’t believe the speed I get from this car on flat terrain, and the incline of the hills I can climb. Even though I’m pretty rough with it, it stands up to the punishment. I especially liked the pistol grip remote control. It’s light, easy to use, and intuitive. The perfect car for kids too. My six-year-old grandson learned to use it in less than 2 minutes and mastered it in ten. The only problem is I can’t get it back from him 😉. I intend to buy more of these for Christmas presents this year. Highly recommended.

Low quality, good seller support, fun truck while it works.
This looks cool and is fun but breaks fast. The controller was dropped and broke in half. I was able to fix that with JB weld. Shortly after a rear suspension piece broke off the axel. It was Still drivable but didn’t track straight or sit even anymore At this point. I called Amazon for a return and was refunded so I’m happy with the outcome but disappointed with the product. Seeing it still ran I drove it some more. Then another suspension piece broke. Then a short time later the front drive motor failed so I removed a gear to disable it. I continued to drive it and the rear drive motor failed and the truck is no longer drivable. Every time you bump an obstacle the steering adjuster moves and needs to be re-alligned. If you bump anything with a bit of speed the tires pop off the wheel on the inside and you need to put them back on as well. On a positive note.the batteries are great. The truck is a cool push toy now with a working light bar, but unfortunately I’m not interested in a push toy.Update, the seller is very good about product support so I changed from 1 star to 3. They sent me a replacement truck but the drive motors both failed after a short time as well. They are currently in the process of sending a 3rd truck. I hope this one lasts longer. While it works it’s a great fun truck that drives up and over way more than expected.
