Ripley rocks. A must-have figure for fans of the Alien franchise.
NECA's level of attention to detail for its various figures makes me pretty happy in general, and that is once again the case with this 40th Anniversary Ripley figure, which I purchased for my 9-year-old daughter. She loves the Alien franchise and is all about strong and smart female protagonists, so this seemed perfect for her. It's highly poseable, has a pretty good facial likeness to Sigourney Weaver's iconic heroine, and the figure doesn't feel like it will fall apart on you. I do feel like NECA's products are a bit overpriced and sometimes a little too hard to find in stock, which probably feeds into the price issue, so I wish that whole deal could be addressed somehow. But, just to emphasize this, you do get high quality items from NECA. Ah, well -- what can you do? Time to break the bank collecting the rest of this series! Also, as an aside, the box/packaging arrived undamaged -- woohoo! This is something that I'm not factoring into the star rating, since I feel this should just reflect the item itself, but I'm always ecstatic when this happens!
