Great stroller for walks in the city!
After months of research finally decided on this stroller and we were not disppointed. Reasons we like it - 1. Two way facing with easy to attach seat. 2. Large wheels and great smooth ride (it's not a jogging stroller so we have only used it on pavement and sidewalks, not off roading). 3. Almost flat recline. Everything I have read said it had a flat recline which is NOT true, the recline is almost flat. If I had a protractor I would measure it, since I don't I would estimate maybe 160-170 degree recline. So it's not ideal for newborns. 4. Great maneuverability, can easily push with one hand. 5. Fairly light, around 20 lbs, easy even for me to lift. 6. Very stylish!! Looks and feels European, very slick and sturdy design!Things that could improve. 1. Seat is fairly shallow on the sides, we have a blanket around it for our three months old so he doesn't slouch off to the side. 2. The stroller smelled like plastic when it arrived so I am airing it out on the deck the past couple days. This happened with our Chicco stroller too. 3. NO Chicco Key fit 30 car seat adaptor. I scoured Mamas and Papas website and they simply do not make one for the Solas, only the armadillo. Which is weird!! Please make one.Five star for how the stroller performs and minus one star for the smell and lack of car seat attachment! Overall great stroller and nightly recommend it!

Awesome stroller!!
I love this stroller. I was thinking of splurging on the bugaboo buffalo but it was just so much more expensive and the additional features weren't enough to warrant the purchase for me. When I found the Mamas & Papas Sola2 MTX I was intrigued. I searched strollers for months! I wanted easy one handed maneuverability, extendable sun canopy, a reversible lay flat seat, and all terrain wheels and this stroller has it all! It handles rough terrain beautifully. The suspension is great! My jogger is a smoother ride but that's expected with a jogger. The rear tires are air filled and the stroller comes with a small pump in case you get a flat. The basket has a spot to hold the pump with Velcro. It has a removable bumper bar/handle that can swing open one handed from either side which makes it easy to get your child in and out. I love that the canopy has a mesh air vent you can zip open to help with air flow on hot days. I find that my son likes to turn and look out the mesh vent too. It gives him more visibility no matter which way you have the seat facing. I love that the view window on top of the canopy has a magnetic closure instead of Velcro so it won't disturb him when he's sleeping. The foot rest is completely adjustable so this stroller can truly lay flat for a sleeping baby. I like that my sons little feet aren't left dangling. The inside of the canopy also has a small loop for hanging a toy. Yes you have to use two hands to remove the seat, removing and replacing the seat is so smooth and easy using two hands isn't a biggie for me, as well as fold the stroller but you can open it one handed. Simply move the plastic clip out of the way and pull the stroller up to standing. The foot break is great too. Step down on the lever to lock and step on the front of the lever to unlock. No flipping it up with your toes, which you can still do, but being able to step to unlock is great for summer sandal wearing. I love the fabric. I originally did not want denim. I'm not a denim lover but the black was sold out. When I saw the stroller for the first time I loved it. The fabric is soft and looks awesome. I love stripes so the stripes on the inside of the canopy and strap pads make me love it more. My bumper bar wasn't denim like pictured but that's something I didn't like about this stroller any way. Mine is a black leather like material that looks great with it. The buckle was complicated to me at first but once I figured it out, you have to put the two strap pieces together first before putting into the crotch buckle, it's was a piece of cake. This stroller is not as compact as the armadillo flip but if you want an all terrain stroller that can handle dirt paths and rocks this is a great stroller to choose.Things I don't love: I wish the basket was larger, I take this shopping a lot. I also wish the seat could be used independently so I could set it on the ground. But those are the only cons for me. All in all this is a great purchase and it's worth it.

Do not buy UK brands in USA, impossible for replacing parts and repairs - company does not ship parts abroad
Do not buy because once a tire goes this is unusable! We got this stroller and used it for about 2 months (very sporadically, I bet we only put about 10-15 miles on it, mostly in Target!), then the back tire burst. Our local bike shop explained that the tube is an unusual size - apparently ONLY 'Mamas & Papas' strollers use this size wheel, it's not standard. We tried to order a new tube OR wheel from Amazon and from the Mamas & Papas website (their US site seems permanently down). We cannot find a replacement anywhere and emailing the UK site over and over and calling has gotten us nowhere. We have this stroller sitting in our hallway and are just using carriers, it's been over 2 months of hunting for a way to fix or replace the wheel - I never imagined anything could be so complicated.

This is almost the perfect stroller. My wife and I chose this over ...
This is almost the perfect stroller. My wife and I chose this over the non-MTX Sola2 as this has a larger canopy, which can also be unzipped to expose a breathable mesh. The air-filled rear wheels are a plus and along with the front and rear wheel suspension give this stroller a smooth ride. The basket is unconventionally shaped to avoid hitting the front wheels but it does provide plenty of storage. The seat is wide but a little shallow. The reason we chose this over the Armadillo Flip is because the seat is even more shallow on that. The only real things we don't love about the stroller is the weight and size. It's a little heavier and wider than we are used to. The fold also requires two hands which isn't a problem for us but it's still a little bulky even after it's folded. These are all things that we can live with as the pros far outweigh the cons.Overall, this is a great stroller and looks great. My wife loves the denim color.

there might not be any better stroller available at the same price point
I gave it 4 stars as there is no suspension for the front wheels. There rear wheels are air-filled and hence absorb the bumps well. However, unless you are inside a mall, your baby will surely feel the pavement. However, there might not be any better stroller available at the same price point. I regret not having checked out the Bugaboo.
