My First Big ABC Book Vol.2

My review is written after my son finished all 10 books in the series.Before the purchase-My 3 years old son knew only the uppercase. But he often got confused with similar letters like EF or MW.Reason of purchase-My son did not know lowercase at all. I wanted him to do some sort of preschool educational workbook at home.Was this book good?Each book has 3 letters to learn. There is letter tracing, matching, coloring, searching, sight words, etc. There are also activities like express emotions along with the study buddy. I thought it is a great section for him to learn better communication and also taking a break from letters. When my son started the first book, he struggled to focus for more than 3 minutes. Because he never sat down and focus on the book longer than that. However, he gradually improved his focus and after the first 3 books, he had no problem learning by himself. There is some empty space on pages that he can draw things so it helped him to practice pen control and stretch his focus time.Will I recommend this to others?Yes. I recommend this book. I am satisfied with the quality. I also think it is a key that mom needs to know their kid’s needs. And mom needs to be patient and consistent as well.How we used this book-If the kid never had a workbook before, just set the goal to finish 1 page of the book. And do it every day at the same time. It will help the kid develop the habit of sitting down with the book and holding a pen. When it became a habit, my son wanted the next book by himself. Do not push our kids too much at the beginning but just wait for them to catch up. I hope my review is helpful.

I am a current daycare professional and also a mother of 5 years old child. I’ve always thought about how I can make my child have fun and get exposed to English while teaching children. I did not want them to feel like studying too much but I wished to make it natural to be exposed as early as possible. It must be every parent’s wish. While having such a dilemma, I ordered this workbook. At a low price, I ordered it without much expectation at first. However, it is a very satisfying purchase.It consists of three alphabets in one book, and you can access educational activities such as letter tracing and matching. There are also coloring activities which the child will enjoy. Set a certain time every day with this workbook and try homeschooling your child. Once your child learned one alphabet letter, make a word card using the letter they learned that day or find objects start with that letter at home together. Through repeated practice of asking, answering, associating pictures with words will help your child remember the alphabet efficiently.For older children, it would help if they practice more writing in a separate notebook after finish each book. Overall I think this is a great workbook for pre-K to 3.Pros.1. Affordable price and cute pictures2. Thin but not boring, and many interesting activities3. Homeschooling can be done with this book in connection with various activities4. At the end of each book, there is an award for the kid which makes them proudCons.1. The practice section might not be enough for the older children, so more practice is needed to write in separate notebooks.

My son is 5 but he is not familiar with the alphabet at all. So I have decided to start with this workbooks series which is for 3-5 years.Volume.1 covers only three letters A, B, and C. The writing practice part is easy to follow. It teaches both uppercase and lowercase. There are sight words for the alphabet letter accordingly.My son seems to like it because it is easy to follow. He finished the letter A quickly and then wanted to do the letter B.He loves the accomplishment award at the end of the workbook. This workbook series is perfect for kids who learn the alphabet for the first time.

I bought some other homeschool workbooks for my daughter but she loves this particular series so I bought the entire series. The entire series has 10 different books. My daughter just finished Volume.7 and she can read all the alphabets she learned from this book series. Thanks for the quick delivery too.
