Complete Mexican South American and Caribbean Cookbook

I had my copy of this book for some time but hadn't really used it until I was looking for a Carribean recipe one day and recalled that this book was much more than just "Mexican" cooking. Once I really took the time to explore it, I found more and more things I wanted to try.There are a lot of Carribean and South American recipes here as well as Mexican. Everything from appetizers and entrees to deserts and cocktails! The recipes are detailed, with good notes about ingredients we might not be familiar with and the photos bring it to life! It's a nice change to try recipes that introduce you to new spices, food items or cooking methods. It makes cooking much more fun and exciting!I've ordered 2 copies from Amazon for friends who admired my copy and others have told me that they were going to purchase it for themselves too.Love it!

I am a pescatarian (i dont eat meat or poultry, i only eat fish and seafood) and this cookbook has every one of my favorite seafood recipes with the afro-latino influence i love. I cant wait to try out more of these recipes, including the meat and poultry dishes for my friends and family. Great book!

Same book, different cover, I have this book, bought years ago, liked it so much bought 5, gave out as gifts. Strange title, the book covers Caribbean cooking and much more, very informative, beautiful pictures and nice historical tidbits. Really a nice read and a nice size, easily carried with you for easy reading.

My favorite cookbook ever. If you love authentic Mexican, this is a treasure trove! I also love the fact that the Caribbean and South American recipes augment this cookbook and I have tested many of them to great satisfaction. You're going to love this!

It gives a good grounding into the history of the ingredient'sintroduction to the countries, a thorough run down on the ingredients themselves, and page after page of gloriously illustrated recipeswith something for everyone, from the fiery spiced concoctions to some wonderful offerings for those with a sweet tooth.Meat, fish, sweets, vegetarian dishes, you name it.I defy anyone who reads this not to find something they would love to try.Highly recommended, insomuch as I have bought multiple copies for friends as gifts.And they're still my friends after trying the food.A must.
