It should not. There is an image that states no lubrication required. I have not had any issues with binding, and have not seen any o-ring residue on the aluminum to date.

Work great I suggest operating at 25 psi or above most of the cheap solenoid valves that accompany these units will not allow air to pass through under 22 psi just a pro tipIf your solenoids are not working and we only have 20 psi that’s what’s going onThese things work great they’re very snappy. They do not push slow. They push pretty fast.
