I didn't want to wear a full costume for Halloween but I still wanted to look festive when I took my daughter out trick or treating. I ended up only wearing the cape and headband, but these accessories helped turn my little black dress into the perfect Halloween outfit. This item is a nice accessory pack for Halloween and I plan to wear these items for years to come.

Going as a spider in a web

We just had a trunk or treat event at my son's school, and this year I just didn't have time to craft a ton of homemade decorations and costuming. Previously, I had crafted all manner of Minecraft decorations and costumes out of recycled materials. It looked great but took ages. This year, to save my own sanity, I went with a spider theme. I was going to wear a basic black jersey dress (because it's almost always hot, and indeed, it was 90 degrees yesterday), but wanted accessories to dress it up a bit.While this set is certainly cute and cheap enough, other than the headband, all items require help to function properly and look good. The gloves are on the shorter side, and I found they wanted to slip down to my wrists. Double-sided tape will likely be required if you want to keep them up on your arms. The mask is certainly lovely, but if you tie it on as pictured, the edges flop over and droop. You will need something like spirit gum to stick it down. The veil/cape was lovely, but while the length was fantastic, the width isn't enough to go around my shoulders. I ended up having to kind of pin it on the back of my dress (the velcro strap just looked rough), and finally I just took it off as I felt like it was restricting my movement.So just be advised that these items will largely require some assistance to look as good as pictured.
