BACK BRUSH OR BACK SCRATCHER - OUCH
I’ve been using this brand for decades. As they get old, the plastic bristle holder cracks and the bristles begin to fall out. The bristles then clog up the tub drain. So it’s advisable to replace it as soon as you see the cracked plastic. This new one has very stiff bristles. My first use was frightening. I’m hoping it’ll soften up in time. Other than the extra stiffness, I like the design. The round head and long beefy handle allow me to hold on and reach all the areas a face rag can’t. I really hope the bristles soften up a bit. Ouch!!

Good brush for those hard to reach places
There was once a time when every bathroom had one of these— I’m not sure why it went away. A bath brush used to be how one scrubbed one’s back. You used to see them in Westerns, with Miss Lucy sitting (modestly) in the high-sided tin bath, hot water added from a big tea kettle, and scrubbing her delicate back with a long-handled brush like this while discussing the new cowboy who’d ridden into town with her lady’s maid. [“You like him, don’t you, Miss Lucy?” “How can you say that? He’s dirty, and scruffy, and he was rude to me!” “Oh yes, Miss— you like him all right!” It was a close to nudity as those old movies were going to get.]I’m not sure how people wash their backs without one— I certainly can’t reach well enough. This one does the job quite nicely— I use it in the shower and not the bath, which keeps me from rinsing in dirty water. It’s easy to use: I just swipe my bar of soap over the bristles a couple of times, or drip liquid soap onto it, and scrub away. The stiffness of the bristles makes it feel like I’m scratching my back, which is an added benefit. The ad copy on the page states that for “non-slip performance” it is “wrapped hemp rope around, provide better grip”. It’s not. Searching through similar products on Amazon I found some brushes that did have rope-wrapped handles, but this isn’t one of them. Believe the pictures and not the written words. I do wonder about it being advertised as a “cellulite massager”, too. I figure any cellulite I have is on its own— I’m not providing it with a massage or any other sort of spa care. The other reference I don’t get is their calling it the “Best Bath Dry Body Brush”. I’m not sure how you are supposed to maintain a dry body in the bath, or why you would want to. I have a feeling that it makes more sense in the original Chinese. All in all, a useful thing to have in the bathroom, and at a good price.Recommended.

Very Pleased! Round Brush Head Large, Bristles Just Right Stiffness, Lasted Pretty Well
I'm very happy with this shower brush. The handle is long enough to reach all of my back easily and the large round head is large enough to wash nicely. I like the boar bristle stiffness. It's just right for me.I like this better than the 2 part brushes (the ones where the head can be removed and used as a hand brush). I never pull those apart. This handle is heavier than average and feels secure in my hand even when slippery with soap. The loop is a little longer than my previous brush making it a little easier to hang on the small hook I have in my shower.I've used this brush for 3 months now and its' still in pretty good shape but the bristles are finally breaking down a bit. Near time to replace I think. That's fine as this type of brush isn't intended to last forever!Because I'm very pleased, it cleans well and lasts as well as I'd expect I'm giving this shower brush 5 stars.

Great for back scrubbing, could use a curved longer handle
Perfect for scrubbing your back in the shower. I just rub bar soap on it til it lathers it up nicely, then go to town on my back. It could use a slight improvement in either a gripped handle, and/or a curved handle. I reach up and point the brush down my back, and I also reach back by my waist and point the brush upwards. Does a great job and I hang it near the bathroom window after each use so it dries completely. The first few times using it, it almost felt like the bristles were a little too stiff, but I think my back just wasn't used to being scrubbed that thoroughly in awhile. Now I cannot finish a shower without giving my back a good scrub with this brush and soap.

Short Working Life Brush
Minalo Shower Back Scrubber BrushI purchased this item in early March 2019. I use it several times a week (2 or 3) in the shower to wash my back. As illustrated in photos by other purchasers, the white plastic bristle holder began to crack and quickly began to lose the boar bristles in early October 2019 - that's 8 months. When compared to the failure times experienced by others, I suppose that I should be happy - but I'm not. I expected this to last far longer than it did. While it lasted, it was great, especially for under US$10.00 and would have garnered a 5-Star rating. The bristles were just the right length and stiffness, held soap well, the handle was top quality wood and finished well, too. Alas, based on it's service life, I can only give it a maximum of 3-Stars. Now, I'm looking for a replacement and it's doubtful that I would purchase this item again. The Minalo company needs to replace the plastic with a more durable type formulation and consider a new stronger adhesive to bond the plastic, and boar bristles to the wood.

This Brush Is Not A Game
Please allow me to preach to you the gospel of this brush. I do not dry brush and I am hard pressed to find any value in just scratching your skin with a bristle brush. BUT I got this brush anyway as I was looking for a quality alternative to the crappy plastic “back brushes” you find most places. It’s sturdy and not too heavy but I could still probably beat an intruder with it. The bristles are surprisingly soft once wet but the exfoliating is GLORIOUS. Now I see why my boyfriend likes his boar shaving brush so much. It just cradles the soap (especially shower gel) so we’ll and gets a nice larger going. Unlike the plastic ones that scratched bar soap to nothing and had me wasting gel as it would just drip through the “bristles” (if they can even be called that). I full body with this brush and felt so soft and happy. It’s a MUST.
