Great litter box!
After many hours of reviews for cat litter boxes this one I kept coming back too. When you’re spending a lot of money, it’s hard to gamble on if you think they would work or not. Once I got this machine, it has been outstanding and has made owning cats much easier! With our busy schedules, this has been a lifesaver. We love the look and quality of this litter box! I even recommended it to a couple people who then went and bought one. After having it for a few months now I am still very happy. It’s easy to clean, very stable, and little to no odor except when it’s cycles. Great odor control. It is big and fits my medium size and large size cats. To top it off, customer service has been amazing answering my questions and troubleshooting them!

Great for multiple cats!
I’m really happy with this automatic self-cleaning litter box. The design is sleek and modern, and I really appreciate that it has a smaller footprint than many of the other models I looked at, so it fits nicely in my space without being bulky or awkward. It’s also been very reliable and keeps the litter area clean with minimal effort on my part. I also want to mention the customer service, which was excellent. I had a question and when I called, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick to resolve my concern. It’s always reassuring to know a company stands behind their product. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, well-designed automatic litter box.

Great investment! Cat likes it, too
Update: 2/26/25 I now have 3 cats and live in a new home and still love this litterbox! Absolutely no regrets or issues even after ~a year later. Highly recommend this still. Since the only place I can have a litter box for my cat is in my room, I wanted something that would help keep the odor down. This works amazing, is very quiet, and I do not have to worry about litter box smell in my room anymore (even with frequent scooping, it still always smelled after a stinky kitten poo). I set this to manual for the first few days so my kitten could get used to it without spooking, and once he was going in it well, I switched over to automatic. I recommend going to press the run button a few times a day when you set it to manual so your cat has more opportunities to get used to the movement and sound, as well as keep it clean for your cat. My only complaint, is the cord does NOT stay in very well, and my cat accidentally bumped it out mid cycle. This ended with urine in just sitting in there (I put some litter over it to soak it up) and my cat pooping right outside his box (not his fault, there was no litter for him to go in). I had to tape the plug down, which seems to help. Don't feel it deserves a full star off for that though, so I still give this product 5 stars. You also really have to fight to get a different sifter in, but at least it's in there good lol I use clumping wood pellets and that seem to work fairly well in this. My cat was having some respiratory issues that I thought could be because clay litter, and started the switch with no issues. Be prepared to lose a bit more litter than you would with clay, unless you get a litter with smaller pieces (I use OkoCat and that brands offers litter with smaller pieces that I might switch to instead of the larger pellets) which you might have more success with. IF you want to try wood based litter, make sure it's clumping litter, or it won't work though. There is also a corn based litter by Sustainably Yours that I have heard works VERY well in robotic litter boxes as it forms very hard clumps (many say better than clay litters), just note some cats like to try and eat corn litter. If you're unsure if you should get it or not, I really recommend it! Just make sure you have some good tape on hand for the plug in case yours is also a bit loose lol

A good and (comparatively) cheap automatic litterbox
I have been using this for about 6 months now. I have 2 cats and this litterbox works well. They were both very wary of it at first but after a week or so started using it. To train them, I put their old litterbox beside the CatLink, full of litter. After they left presents in the old box, I put one or two in the cat link to give it the "smell" and then stopped empyting the old one. It made the room smell bad for a bit, but eventually my cats got the memo and started using the CatLink. My cats had previously refused to use an enclosed box before, so if yours are already okay with that then the transition will probably be smoother for you. One of my cats is quite large too, at about 17-18 lbs and he uses it with no issues. For litter, I have used Arm and Hammer Slide with this and it works great. The Slide litter is great no matter what box it is in as it keeps clumps from sticking to the box. The litter itself is fairly small/fine, about the consistency of steel cut oatmeal. It flows through the filter in the CatLink with no issue and then right back into the main chamber after it is cleaned. Definitely recommend the Slide litter with this box even though it is a little pricier than other brands. There is a manual (cleans when you push the button) and automatic mode (cleans about 30 seconds after your cat leaves the box). I used manual for the first couple months but now I run it completely automatic with no real issues. With my 2 cats, the storage container holds exactly one week of spent litter so I replace the liner weekly when I empty my normal household trash. Occasionally the pan will show as full near the end of the week. However, the litter is deposited in the left side of the tray so I take the pan out and give it a quick shake to distribute it evenly and it's good to go until trash day. In automatic mode it does control smell really well. I hardly ever smell anything at all unless the collection pan is nearly full and I am within 10 feet of the litterbox. The only real negative I can note is that when it cleans and the main chamber rotates, it makes a weird high pitched "squeegee" sound. It's a little annoying but it more concerns me because it sounds like parts rubbing together, which is always bad for anything mechanical. Maybe it is a legit squeegee that catches litter, I'm not sure. I got this during black Friday where it had $150 off the base price of $500, which is also going on now at the time I write this review. It's a lot to pay for a litterbox, but I decided that for around $370 after tax, if I got one solid year of use then that's just a little over a dollar a day to never have to scoop again. 6 months in, that has been my experience. If this thing keeps working till November then suddenly stops working, I would probably buy another. Update 12/02/2024 (a little over a year of use): Still working and still pretty happy with it. The liner bags are available here on Amazon but I have also discovered that you can really use the liners multiple times, at least with the brand of litter I use. You can pop the tray out and dump the spent litter into another trashbag. The automatic mode is a little finicky. It sometimes stops emptying and I'm not sure why, it just flashes the red error light like it detects a full tray even if it's not. I let it run a day or two and checked on it to find that it hasn't emptied (after my cats start going on the floor outside of it). I pretty much use it exclusively in manual mode now but it's still way better than scooping because I just have to press a button 1 or 2 times a day and then dump the tray in my household garbage at the end of the week. All in all after a year, I still am really happy with my purchase and if it went kaput today I would have had that roughly $1.00 per day to not worry about scooping for a full year, so I would order another if I got it at the same ~$375 price or cheaper.

If you're looking for automation, look no further!
Food serving, water bowl filling, and litter box cleaning are all joys of having a pet cat. I'm a firm believer in technology and its ability to assist in everyday chores. I have an automated cat feeder, a self filling water fountain, and thanks to CATLINK, a self cleaning litter box! If you're looking for automation, look no further! Over the past month my cat has been able to do her business quietly, quickly, and cleanly. Delivery: Overall the packaging was as large as one may expect. Having a fully automated system means lots of moving parts that can easily be damaged when delivered, but luckily CATLINK's packaging allowed my unit to arrive without an dents or cracks. Cleanup was fast as there was only a few protective plastics to throw away and I didn't have to worry about vacuuming up any loose foam pieces. Setup: Following the instruction booklet is easy. If you prefer a visual aid, you also can watch a how-to on YouTube! The unit is quite simple to put together as most parts fit much like a puzzle. You don't have to do any preprogramming or changes to the settings, just plug it in and fill it up with your preferred litter. Features: I truly enjoy the ability to have the choice between a generic clumping litter vs a pellet style. Depending on whichever you use, ensure that you install the proper scooper in the device. CATLINK offers quite a few disposable bags to use in their system which is very nice. They do not come pre-installed so please make sure you add a bag before letting your cat do their business. The device cleans within minutes of your pet using it. This not only allows for a consistent litter circulation, but it also means less smell in the space. One thing to note about smell, CATLINK includes an odor blocking filter which can be placed in the disposal area. This aids in blocking pesky odors and keeps them trapped. As someone who keeps their litter box in the living room, it is quite refreshing to not have to worry about odors during movie night. As for emptying the litter, I have noticed that my cat fills the box in about two weeks of use. It is important to note this can be different depending on the number of cats you own and their personal dietary needs. There have been times when I forget to clean the tray, but the nice thing about the device is it will display an error sign indicating it needs emptied. One other cool feature is the safety built into the device. I was worried it would clean itself while my cat was inside. Luckily, CATLINK was smart enough to include a weight system which prevents any mechanical movement from happening until the area is safe. Lastly, this thing is QUIET, and I mean SILENT. I was astonished at how quickly it cleans itself without making any noise. My fiancé and I wanted to see it in action the moment we got it and when it finally was time for it to clean, we almost missed it since we didn't even hear it. Complaints: One complaint I have is the dirty litter tray can be cluttered at times. Since it is spinning in one direction each time it cleans, the disposal tray can be full on one side while the other is untouched. this can easily be fixed by taking the tray out and shaking it so it evens out the dirty litter. It would be nice if it could spread the dirty litter evenly to prevent the need to open it as much, but it's no big deal. Final thoughts: The CATLINK Automatic Litter Box has been an exceptional addition to my home, allowing a simple and effective way to quietly clean, dispose, and replace litter in a timely manner for my lovely fur baby. I will continue to use this device for the foreseeable future!

Best purchase I’ve made. - CatLink Automatic Litter Box
For years, I used a traditional cat litter box that required manual scooping, which was always a chore. After researching several options, I decided to purchase the Cat Link automatic litter box two years ago, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Pros: • Ease of Use: From setup to cleaning, this product is incredibly user-friendly. It’s made managing my cat’s litter box so much easier. • Safety Features: I love the built-in safety features that ensure my cat is protected while the unit operates. It gives me peace of mind. • Quiet Operation: The Cat Link is impressively quiet. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being completely silent, I’d give it a 2. You can barely hear it, and even then, it’s only noticeable in a dead-silent room, usually at night. Neutral: • Size: This is a fairly large unit, so you do need ample space for it. The user manual also states that it must be freestanding to ensure the sensors function properly, which could limit where you place it. Cons: • The only downside I’ve encountered is that the rotating globe sometimes leaks a bit of urine during the cleaning process, causing a small spill outside of the unit. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. (Update: May 2025) turns out my car has perfect aim at shooting her urine through the opening at the back of the globe where everything empties out of when turning, so the con isn’t as much that the globe leaks but my cat is known as a “high pisser.” Thankfully I found a solution that works for me but does require a DIY version of a mud flap. Overall, I highly recommend this product. It’s made cat care so much easier, and I can’t imagine going back to a manual litter box!

Love it!
Wish I had purchased your years ago. But now loving the care free litter box. Our 2 9 year old cats have taken to it with no problem. Emptying it is a breeze! It's good quality and very very quiet. It rotates slowly and efficiently when the cat is finished and exits.

Works in my home office
We purchased this automatic litter box to put in my home office because the other boxes we were using just didn't help with the smell. This automatic litter box has really helped. It's super quiet too (most times I barely hear it working... only an occasional squeaking noise). We had a Litter Robot brand in the past, but it was louder and more particular about being placed on carpet (it would oftentimes stop working). We bought the optional step to go with ours. It's not really necessary... a box with a rug on it actually worked fine until the step arrived. Once it was delivered and put into place, though, the cats were a little hesitant to use it... they weren't too sure about all the holes in it and the slight flexibility of the plastic as they walk on it. But, I just held them and talked calmly to them while gently putting their feet on it until all of their weight was on it. Once they realized that it was safe, they started using it with no problems. The cats like to sit on a nearby table and watch it rotate. We're using Tidy Cat Lightweight type litter and it works fine. The chute where the waste drops into the bin below seems to funnel everything nicely. We've had a few "clingers" - to the rubber liner, the plastic walls, and the chute, but it's probably because one of the cats has the scoots right now because we changed food brands. It seems to scrape off fairly easy with a little help from the litter scoop and a quick swipe with a disinfectant wipe. The "fence" in the opening helps keep litter inside... we didn't have that feature with our Litter Robot and it has been nice on this one. One drawback we've found is that the carrying handles are a little low, which makes it kind of difficult to lift and move it without having your face practically IN the litter box (not really... but very close!). We had the same problem with the Litter Robot style too. I almost wish someone would invent some sort of carrying "handle" that would fit around the bottom, come up the sides and snap together at the top so you could just pick it up with that instead. We don't have to move it very often, but when we do, it would be nice if there was an easier way to do it. Overall, we're happy with it so far and are actually looking forward to getting another one so we can (hopefully) get rid of the regular litter boxes for good. UPDATE after having this litter box for a little over a month... The error light started flashing and will not stop. I've emptied it and changed the bag... still flashing. I've taken the drawer out and looked all over inside for something that might be stuck... nothing... and still flashing. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in... still flashing. I now have to manually run the cycle on my AUTOMATIC SELF-CLEANING litter box. I contacted CatLink and they sent me a video on how to change a "light curtain". ??? I didn't spend over $500 on an AUTOMATIC SELF-CLEANING litter box to have to turn around and disassemble the entire unit and fix it myself with parts that I don't even have or know how to get! I've reduced my star rating to 2 stars for now. I've requested to CatLink to return it and get my money back. I'll update my review when this is resolved. UPDATE #2... CatLink customer service has been great. They resolved my issue very quickly. I updated my star rating accordingly.
