Excellent brace!
This brace is excellent!! I’m a swimmer and needed support after breaking my ankle. This is the first brace that works in the water! The Velcro is very strong so it stays attached thru two miles of swimming; where other Velcro braces detached, and elastic braces lost their elasticity ! It also offers great support! On a recent visit to Florida, I was able to walk 8 miles more than once using this brace; it gave my ankle perfect support! It fits perfectly in my running shoes! So I give this brace an A+!

Foot Pain during Pregnancy
I had terrible foot pain during pregnancy and this really helped to reduce the pain. Comfortable and could wear over or under a sock. Fit great even for smaller feet.

Important: provides No lateral support. Well-made, great customer support!
I picked this brace over others because its advertised as waterproof and can be applied without having to slip anything over the foot. I recently fractured my ankle (lateral malleolus - the bump on the outside, Weber type A) and my doctor said that I can put weight on it in a walking boot and I can swim. I needed some sort of brace that would stay on in the water that prevents inward rotation of the ankle but I'm allowed to point my toe. Unfortunately, this brace allows for too much movement side to side and less so forward to back. It pretty much does the opposite of what I need! Wrapping it as tight as possible at the top with the criss-cross straps just cut off blood flow, but did not prevent the movement I needed to prevent. And the bottom heel cup dug into my heel on the back leaving a deep purple groove in my skin after 20 min. I should have realized without side stabilizers that this brace wouldn't provide the support I need.A note on sizing: I am 5'5" woman with size 6.5 foot in heels and size 7.5 in sneakers/boots. My ankle circumference is 12" exactly even with a little swelling in my left ankle (I measured both and they were the same). The S/M fit but I couldn't have gotten the portion around the arch any tighter, yet the criss-cross straps were shorter than I wanted to provide enough support up top. I think this brace would be better for front to back support and compression/warmth only mostly in the portion of the ankle below the bones that stick out on either side.I can comment that it is waterproof however! I decided to wear it in the pool because I wasn't sure if it would be supportive enough when I tried it on at first. It stretched a little in the water, so I tightened it more, and it stayed put! I didn't dare test the bounds of its support with my fractured ankle so when I got out of the pool I tried it on my good foot and that's how I determined that I could roll my ankle in all directions wearing it even with the straps so tight I found them uncomfortable. This brace was not for me. I'd like to send it back, but unfortunately I had to wear it to realize it wouldn’t work for my needs. Too bad because $25 is a lot to spend on something you can’t use at all.My walgreens brace with firm lateral inserts works better for my needs ... I just didn't think it would stay put in the pool. I'll have to try now ...A potential positive ... the firm material that goes under your arch doesn't stretch at all. This might provide some support for plantar fasciitis? I may pull it out to try inside my shoes for long days on my feet when my arches get tired after I’m all healed up. It may provide just the right amount of support for that ... but I'm not sure it would be comfortable enough to wear all day because it dug into the back of my heel when it was fitted properly.I gave the brave an overall score of 3 because it’s apparently well-made even though it doesn’t work for my needs and is able to be used in water as advertised. The Velcro is sooooo sticky that it was hard to pull apart and left marks on the fabric.

Good results
This brace has good directions. Is relatively easy to use and really provides good results. I was starting to have some ankle pain from a new exercise regimen in the pool and it allowed me to continue my routine without pain until my ankle was acclimated.

Good stabilizer
Pros: easy to put on, kept my ankle stableCons: tight at the heel so my foot rubbed against it a bit, but it didn't leave any marks after removing it.

Effectively stabilises broken ankle
The Velcro adjustment gives infinite variability of tension and position. Much better than others we tried
