Leather Messenger Bag for Men - Full Grain Leather Briefcase Laptop Satchel Office Crossbody Travel Bag

I believe this leather messenger bag is definitely worth the money. While it has its pros and cons, the value-to-cost ratio makes it a worthwhile purchase. I had been using an Eddie Bauer bag for the past 30 years, but it was clearly showing its age (just like me!). I was searching for a quality leather messenger bag to replace my old one, specifically seeking certain features. It needed to have a dedicated computer slot and separate zippered compartments. I required a single handle on top for carrying (not double), a flap with snap or magnetic closures, a phone holder slot, plenty of pen slots, and a luggage strap on the back for travel. Additionally, I wanted a place inside to clip my work ID. This bag meets most of those needs. First of all, it arrived very well packaged. The leather bag was wrapped in a soft cloth bag, and all the metal parts were covered with tape and foam to prevent scratching. The leather itself is very strong, and the stitching appears solid with no defects. This bag has clip closures for the flap, and the small front pocket features a magnetic closure; both are adjustable with a buckle to accommodate a wider load. I found much more expensive bags that only had the buckle-type closure, which I find more time-consuming to close, often leading to the flap being left unclosed. The new leather is a bit stiff, but I expect it to soften over time. The strap is comfortable, strong, and adjustable. I love the luggage strap on the back for placing it on a luggage handle while traveling. All the hardware looks and feels robust—actually, it seems a little more heavy-duty than my old bag. My only complaints are that the bag arrived with a slight scratch or defect in the coloring, but I wiped the entire bag with a little leather conditioner and oil, and it virtually disappeared (as shown in the last picture). Additionally, the bag was pretty compressed when it arrived; if you look at the bottom picture, it folds from corner to corner, so it was squashed a bit awkwardly. However, as I add items to the bag, it pops open without any issues. There are a few things it lacks that I believe would make it the perfect bag. It could use a few more pen slots inside—while it has two slots, additional ones would be helpful. I used the zippered pocket behind the pen slot to clip my different-colored pens. Also, I wish it had an ID lanyard clip inside to attach my work ID to; I ended up using a carabiner and a quick connect for my badge on the strap ring. Lastly, I think the inside flap could benefit from a zippered mesh pocket that would allow for easy access to items like pens, markers, and earbuds, rather than having to dig through a zippered pocket inside the bag. Overall, I would recommend this bag for its quality and construction. Not only is it a great price, but it also stands out on its own merits. I was willing to pay six times the cost of this bag at more name-brand shops, but for quality and value, this is a no-brainer. I gave it five stars based on the value-to-quality ratio. It’s really a 4.5-star bag but would reach a full five stars with the modifications I mentioned. In the few days I’ve taken it to work, I’ve received several compliments on how beautiful it looks in person.

Bottom line up from: Top quality leather, premium stitching, packaged with precision care. The bag to last a lifetime and pass down to your kids. Ditch the backpack and grab one of these amazing products. I’ll certainly be shopping with this company in the future! 1. Right out of the bag, which was a cloth bag protected by a plastic bag, it smelled wonderful. Every single buckle was protected by foam wrapping and 2. You can truly tell this company puts heart and soul into their products. It’s all in the details. Thick stitching, well packaged, thoughtful design, and unpatched quality. They didn’t skimp on any aspect of creating this bag from the buckles to zipper and the pockets. 3. Stylish and the perfect size for a commuter, student, or business person.

I cannot express how impressed I am with this bag, I have never wished I could give something ten stars. The quality is simply elegant and for $90 I am dumbfounded. It also clips for quick access. I spent probably 4 hours comparing leather messenger bags to protect my work high end16in macbook. Buy this bag, it is amazing.

Have a leather backpack from this brand, Rustic Town, and it was amazing! The leather was soft and supple so I wanted to support the brand and pick up a messenger bag. This bag is very nice looking, the color is fantastic, the size is great, and the design is well thought out with one exception - the small front pocket is inaccessible with the larger flap buckled close. The build quality and leather quality though, keeps me from loving this bag - which is a shame, especially for the price. The stitching was questionable when I received it brand new - thought it was just extra untrimmed thread, but it continues to fray and in additional locations. I understand that leather scratches, but the scratches on the back of the case came from using putting it on and removing it from a travel case - exactly what it was designed to be used with! Those scratches all came from just one trip. The buckles crease very badly, just waiting for it to crack and peel. The leather - which is the reason I purchased this - is not soft at all. It is very thick and robust, in fact the bag stands on it's own empty - doesn't need anything to give it body. It is not soft and supple and buttery as I had hoped - which were my descriptors of the leather backpack from this brand that I loved. Bummed, wanted to love this messenger bag. ***UPDATED*** RUSTIC TOWN sent a replacement bag and it is night and day difference in build quality! There isn't a seam or thread out of place and it's worn in very nicely, new pics attached for comparison - even received a compliment when carrying the replacement! I like the bag. it's rustic yet attractive, and has good features. really stinks like a new leather bag and has taken a long time for smell to dissipate. built well and had some abrasions from the beginning. fine by me because I'd only add more but others noticed and commented. good value I'd say.

I've seen bags for much more money but I can't imagine what they have to offer over this bag. The leather is thick and strong. The stitches and seams look to be hardy. I'm giving it as a gift so maybe I'll report back in a year as to how well it held up. But at first open it looks, smells and feels great.

Looks good and elegant

Overall I am happy with the purchase. It would have been ideal if I can open the front pocket without opening the whole flap. I was expecting the inside to be a bit more spacious. But it can still accommodate my laptop, a notebook or two and sunglasses and a few more small items.

Thankfully this bag is lighter than I expected it to be. The bag is roomy with suffiecient pockets for my needs. Is an attractive colour and finish.

Elegant, masculine, practical and heavy duty. The vintage look adds classiness and luxury. The size says 15", but it actually fits a 13" laptop. I believe the extra 2 inches are the edges. Do not hesitate to buy it.

Really nice satchel. though my laptop did fit in the bag, it didn't fit in the laptop compartment. i am not a fan of quick release clasps, as the leather buckle straps tend to curl upwards. It is a sheer joy to have something made of leather, not faux nor PU, hence a 5 star. Even when i was a child, i was never able to have the strap pad where i would like, either myself being to small, or nowadays being taller, but i tend to just use the handle as i only carry from the car to my desk, which isn't much of a hindrance. I have had quite a lot of positive feedback from work colleagues, mentioning how nice the satchel is, and i would recommend this to all, as it is very sturdy and well built. Have tried other satchels that may have looked slightly better (given the brand) but this has definitely much more of a build quality to it at a fraction of the price.
