A lot of the reviews here seem to be for an older product? The version I'm reviewing is the one in the photo.Fistly the good bits:1. The design means that when my dog pulls/jerks there is no tendency for my wrist to twist, causing discomfort.2. It seems to be made of a tough outer plastic shell, which I imagine could take to being dropped a few times.3. It's comfortable to hold and has nice rubber grips (generally the black parts in the photo).The bad bits:1. The spring tension in the retraction mechanism is simply nowhere near enough. I have used this every day in the three weeks that I've had it and I regularly end up with lead coiled on the floor when my dog returns.2. The 'E' design, that is supposed to prevent the lead tape from twisting, only partially works. It stops a twist getting onto the reel, but doesn't stop a slight twist from entering the lead body, which exacerbates the issue described in 1. above.3. The lock button works well when new, but mine has already become stiff and catchy in operation.The design is really good and I wish other manufacturers would adopt it, but I couldn't possibly recommend this product.I'd suggest you order one of the Flexi ones. That's what I previously had and it worked reliably and lasted for years. I've just ordered one to replace this!

I mostly bought this for the replaceable harder wearing attachment to the lead, which is great and I’m very happy with however the rest of the lead isn’t that good. The retraction of the lead is too slow which has caused it to get caught around my dog’s legs, the handle is ok but the shape doesn’t really work too well, or maybe it’s just not my personal preference.

Comfortable to hold, heavier than most leads though. Works very well, but doesn't retract as well when wet. The lock mechanism, is now starting to stick alot. Gone back to my old lead now. Maybe re use it again in the summer.

Love the lead it’s light an easy to hold, and not bulky, I was disappointed with the poo bag dispenser however that came with it, the strap to attach it to the handle is not very secure it comes apart very easily, consequently I lost it out on a walk and couldn’t find it so was not happy about that! Looked to see if I can purchase another one to maybe attach it an alternative way but cannot purchase them it seems we can only purchase the tape?

Comfy grip but unfortunately after only 6 weeks the spring is failing and it hardly works at all if the lead is even just slightly damp or with the anti-bite section attached. Also the locking mechanism either doesn’t work or won’t release which can make walking near a road more worrying. I had thought due to the price of this lead that its quality would have been a lot better but I’m very disappointed. No way of contacting the manufacturer therefore having to leave this poor review with no discussion.

A comfy hold in my hand, was a little slow to retract but over all I liked it until my large dog bit through it, it didn’t take much as it took him a second to do it! I would recommend this lead to anyone who doesn’t have a dog who likes to nibble the lead, unfortunately it’s not strong enough for our pup!

The spring feels a bit flimsy, if you have a dog that pulls I'm not sure how much more it could pull out once stopped. A shame as the durable connection is amazing and am really impressed with it good quality and should take some time for a small dog to chew through.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I have no other way of contacting the seller for a refund so I have no choice but to note my complaint here.The lead was great. However, after 2 months of use the cord no longer retracts into the casing. This makes it a very unsafe lead to use since I am unable to retract the lead when needed.I’d really appreciate a refund, if possible.Thank you
