Can you buy multiple sets and play like 3 Red vs 3 Blue?

Yes we got 2 set and can play verses or free for all they are fun units work great but they do beam all the time so it's hard to hide from people my 6 year old loves them and so do we for the price we highly recommend them hope this helps u

how much people can play at once?

We have been playing with 4 guns all weekend I think it would be unlimited because you are on the red team or the blue team or the third setting you can be red and blue at the same time. We played 2 red and 2 blue and when we have 3 people left switch to every man for themselves (red&able) mode. They shoot through glass when hiding behind cars and if you put your hand over the breast plate it will still shoot through your fingers
