Review: Great Dryer Repair KIT FOR A LOW PRICE - Ordered this kit in April 2026 to be installed in a 2005 Whirpool Commercial Dryer whose heating element had gone bad. This kit had four thermostats, one thermal fuse and one heating element assembly. Since this kit had more than just the new heating element, I installed 3 of the 4 new thermostats (my dryer only has three thermostats), the thermal fuse in addition to the heating element. I had to adjust the wire connectors on the dryer to be a little tighter on the new thermostat prongs but that was not really an issue at all. All items in the kit fit fine into the different slots/holding locations. The dryer worked great drying several loads of clothes after this. Again, this kit worked on a 21-year-old dryer.

My Maytag electric dryer stopped heating during the drying cycle. The machine powered on, the drum would spin but no heat. After watching all 3 relevant YouTube videos on the subject and receiving $150 quotes from local repairmen, I decided I'd take a shot at it myself. Changing a heating element or thermal fuse or any of the other components in the kit is fairly straightforward, and I would suggest replacing everything that the kit provides. I can't speak to the longevity or quality of the parts just yet, but it's a great start. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dryer that won't get hot.
