Auto GS01-S7-SV Oil-based Ballpoint Pen, GS01, Silver

Writes as effortlessly as any rollerball or fountain pen I've used. That alone is a great selling point, but there's more! I'm including a photo of the pen in my extra large sized paw. Despite its petite appearance, it is just the right size for me, and smaller hands as well. It is well-balanced and weighs maybe a half ounce more than a plastic bodied pen (the GT01 is a metal bodied pen). For anyone confused about reloads, the pen unscrews at the writing end, not the clicking end. It uses a "Parker style" refill, widely available in myriad colors. Here's the part that prompted me to write a review. I own a lot of drafting/engineering pencils. They are all six sided to prevent them from rolling off the writing surface if you lay the instrument down, which is great for keeping your pencils off the floor, but those corners leave a dent in my finger after hours of use. While the GT-01 is a pen, it too has the same six-sided no-roll design... with a twist. As the pen body tapers to the writing end, the hard edges are smoothed out so that the tip, precisely where I hold the pen with my fingers, is *round* and smooth. You can see this in the closeup photo I've attached. It's so understated that no one notices, but that comfortable grip moves this pen to the top of my list of daily use pens. I can write with this pen for hours without discomfort, more than I can say for some of my pens costing hundreds of dollars more. This pen isn't expensive at all, especially if you can catch it on sale like I did. Now to guard ur jealously ("my preciousssss") so no one steals it.

The OHTO GS01 is such an unusual looking pen, I wasn't sure what to feel about it when I first saw it. Then I ordered one. My first reaction was...WOW! It comes with an OEM OHTO cartridge in it, and it's super fine (not my desired line weight), so I wanted to swap the cart out with a Parker G2 standard cartridge (in Medium). This next part is amazing! So I ordered a Parker brand cartridge for it (in gel ink). The tolerances of the GS01 are so exact that not even the Parker brand cartridge would work properly! (Parker's tip on the refill was out of tolerance, and wouldn't fit through the tip cone on the pen). I got a different Parker cartridge which was in-tolerance, and it worked perfectly. The GS01 writes like a dream. The construction is robust, and the balance is excellent. The all metal body has nice heft to it, but isn't overly heavy. The pen feels like a quality writing instrument in the hand. I really like this pen (in case this wasn't obvious already!). I highly recommend the GS01! It's a very nice, and very welcome, addition to my pen collection. And the best part of all...the price is more than affordable. Highly recommend!

i look for pens that are aesthetic and designed well and built and made with a lot of attention to deatil and somewhat over engineered for a pen, i have pens that are cheaper that are amazing and i have pens that are very expenisive that are amazing, i write and use pens everyday, i build systems online and businesses and engineer systems and i do a lot of planning and i enjoy writng out and drawing my own plans, checklists, systems, ideas, designs and more, so i look for great pens that write well and feel great in your hand and are aesthetically pleasing to the eye and i discovered this company called ohto and i bought this GS01 silver pen and it quickly become on of my favorite pens, it feels amazing in your hand and the writing smoothness is great, compared to other pens, the ball point writes perfectly is not too fast and not too slow, i noticed im able to write in better handwriting and more detail, plus the pen cam is amazing and its almost like a fidget, very satisfying and once you click it you can just feel the quality of the pen, obviously i over analyzed it compared to most other people, and as a systems engineer i pay attention to deatils quality and design in everything and this pen and ohto pens are exteremly well built and engineered and are among my favorite pens, highly recommend this pen.

I am a pen freak . Always on the hunt for a great pen. Price doesn’t matter . Often the cheapest dollar store pens write great. This one feels like quality and sits in hand well. Honestly though it doesn’t write as smooth as some of my cheaper pens . Nothing special about the stream of ink from the pen. I’ve thrown away pens that write comparable . It writes ok. Not anything to brag about . The ink is also not dark . I have some gel Ubrand pens I got at Target that write smoother and darker than this one. Had I known it was just an ok pen that the ink isn’t so dark , personally I wouldn’t spend the money .

Good pen but I had to get a replacement shipped since my first pen broke and leaked internally, other than that its great but i wish it was heavier
