Adorable and Easy Game for Young Kids
It is hard to find a fun game that is easy for young kids and not annoying to parents. This game is adorable from setting it up to playing it. I actually felt like we were just playing with toys rather than a game. The best part is there is no plastic pieces or batteries required, it is kid-powered. Setting it up and reading the instructions took just a few minutes the first time and now we are experts at it. Gameplay is pretty easy to understand and explain to young kids or you could of course make up your own rules. The purpose is to save and learn about polar bears while tackling climate change - hard topic for kids but they will start to understand about it. The wooden animals and die (dice) are durable and the gameboard is sturdy cardboard. Really a great first game for young kids and they may learn a thing or two and not realize it!

A Fun Way For Kids To Learn About Saving The Environment
Fun game that we can play together as a family. There are quite a few directions that need to be read, so since my kids cannot yet read, I need to read them for them. I like that this game doesn't use any plastic. The game board, ships and icebergs are made of cardboard. One of our game board pieces came a bit warped but it is still usable. The game pieces are wooden. My daughter LOVES the adorable wooden animal game pieces. My son likes the ships. I like that they are learning about saving the environment while having fun playing the game together. This game is like no other one we own!

Thoughtful board game!
“That was very educational,” said my four year old son after playing Polar Adventure for the first time! No joke, he loves this game. Your kiddo really should have a love for animals as the love and care for animals comes out full force. My son just wanted to make sure each animals got out of harm’s way. At first, I felt like he wouldn’t think this was fun, but I was wrong! He really liked rolling the dice and hoping for no obstacles. Each play made it more exciting. I love the wooden game pieces, and my son even added them his “zoo” after the game was done! This game is very thoughtful and teaches about how each animal is effected by their environment. I thought the process of the game was a lot for a four year old to digest, but he understood! This is a great game if you’re looking for an educational game to play with an animal loving preschooler. The game pieces are beautiful, and it’s easy to set up and explain.

It's Roll to Move (or not) The Game With Simple Path Blocking; Completely Random
This is basically Candyland the dice game. You roll a die that either moves you forward, doesn't move you forward, you tells you to move or remove an obstacle. That's it. That's the entire game. That said...GREAT quality. Everything is made of thick cardboard or beautiful high quality wood. No plastic baggies. You get a paper bag! The only environmentally unsound part of the game is the shrinkwrap around the game box. Otherwise...well done!If your kids enjoy a game this simple (if you want to teach them how to use a die) this is a fantastic quality game with amazing components. The only problem was that the board corners were a little damaged and perhaps not properly rounded/sealed to prevent tearing and fraying. That's the only quality issue, otherwise it's stupendous. If you have small children and want to teach them VERY basic ecology (trees GOOD, cars BAD) this is a good choice.

Nice quality, lousy gameplay
My 4 year old is currently obsessed with polar bears so I thought this would be a great addition to our growing game shelf. The physical game is impressive but the game play is less than exciting. My pre-readers depended on me to tell them what to do on every move and it just fell very flat. Pretty disappointed as I typically wouldn’t spend so much on a little kid game but the topic was of interest.

My Preschooler's Favorite Game!
I ordered this game to play with my 3 year old, who is just shy of the recommended ages of 4-6. He loves it so much - we have been playing multiple times a day! You have to put the stickers on the wooden die and punch out the accessories before beginning. The premise is quite simple: help the Arctic and Antarctic animals reach the glacier. Each roll of the die you will get a tree to move forward, a car or factory where you don't get to move, or an obstacle to place on the board (a ship or iceberg). My child has learned the words factory, glacier, and iceberg from this game. No reading is required during game play. It is very eco-friendly - it is made of wood and cardboard with no plastic. Even the packaging shrink wrap is made of sugar cane. This is a great game to develop eco-conscious children without feeling preachy or scary. Highly recommended!

An excellent resource
I am really interesting in the effect of climate change and think this is a wonderful approach to engaging young children into pressing issues. In addition this is very well made and designed in a way that it looks fun for young learners. I love how the wooden characters come in a paper bag and not wrapped in plastic. Very happy!

Love this game!
The pieces are fun to play with an the rules are simple. We didnt modify them too much for our 4yo to play. The quality is also good. Its nice to have a game that will last us for years
