Great Dog Gate
We use this on our back deck to gate in our dog. It's perfect for him. If I had to say one negative thing, there is a bar going across the bottom of the gate....we couldn't put the gate flush with the deck because of some molding on the rails...we had to lift it about 1/4 an inch over the molding to the flat part of the rail. So the bar lifted off the deck even slightly makes for a potential tripping hazard.

Very well built
The gate is very well designed and built. The little door allows our cats through but keeps the dog out. I bought two gates, and installed the first gate using the pressure method, where you tighten support pads against the door frame. That works OK, especially if you think you might remove the gate later on, but you should really tighten those pads well, in case you accidentally bump into the gate. For our second gate, in another part of the house, I used the hardware mounts that screw into door frame. This is provided a rock-solid mount for the gate, and I recommend it.An installation note: Be sure to follow the instructions, and do NOT cut the plastic strapping that holds the gate together before you install the gate. The strapping keeps the gate’s door aligned properly so that you can properly extend the mounting screws.

Almost adult proof lock
Super child proof, almost adult proof! There is a top button and bottom button that need to be pressed AND you need to lift the gate up slightly to open the main door. My housemate just chooses to step over the whole thing rather than futz with the lock. I bought to keep my medium size dog away from the kitty litter boxes and my housemates room, but allow the kitties free pass through the kitty door. Unfortunately, the dog at 20 lbs can still fit through the kitty door. So anything with a kitty door really is to keep only large dogs out.

Okay
The gate is good quality and does its job as expected, but two things bother me. First is that you have to lift the gate up while pressing the buttons in order to open it. Makes it harder to use for people with poor coordination. Second is that when the pet door is open, it sticks out from the gate and is easy to stub toes/trip on. It also bashes into my wooden door when opening that way. It should have been made where the door is flush with the rest of the gate so these hazards don't happen. Not a total disappointment, but I won't be buying another.

Easy
So far,so good. Easy installation .Best part is the little door for the cat to go through.Very pleased with this purchase. Would buy again. And I liked that the gate can go either way in and out. Same with cat door. Very functional .

Fits the bill
We have a Rottweiler and German Shepherd, and while they are good family dogs, they don’t act very welcoming with unknown guests. Some of our extended family that the dogs know and love, don’t really like the dogs attention. We bought this for the holidays when guests are over, as well as to separate them when they eat. They both were contained, and the GSD tried to open it, nudging it with his nose, but soon gave up. I like that it will stay open by pushing it in a lock position, but will also close shut on its own when you need it to.

Good for keeping the dog and cat separate to become acquainted.
Works well to keep the dog and cat separated. If you have a smaller dog (less than 40 lbs) they might be able to slip though the smaller "cat door" opening. Also probably not tall enough to keep your cat from jumping over. Not an issue for me as I don't mind the cat jumping over.
