Perfect for plying with a standard yarn.
I ordered this reflective yarn/thread to ply with some of my own homespun. I intend to crochet a hat that will provide some added safety for evening/nighttime walks. This was shipped quickly and came exactly as pictured. It is working well for my purpose which is to create reflective yarn for safety purposes. It is very thin and will not bulk up the yarn I'm putting it with. I can see it being good for sewing and embroidery as well. It is a nylon thread/string and I wouldn't use it alone for knitting/crochet, it will need to be used alongside a base yarn. It's perfect for creative projects! This product is as advertised and I would order it again.

Worst Thread In The WORLD
CANT BE USED ON A MULTINEEDLE MACHINE, and if it can i need to see proof. its not even thread. more like a cheap fishing line feel. will just keep breaking when u run machine. most reflective threads are hard to use but this is the worst thread in the damn world lol.

Can Ply Spinning Yarn, Do Embroidery, Or Knit, but Surface Area Is Key
When it comes to something as thin as thread, it is hard to capture much on camera. So, until I find a way to do that better, I will just write this review up until I can get some good photos for you. There are a few things in working with this thread I can share with you, so you can decide if you want it. I originally got it to use with yarn for a hat, but it is taking some time to figure out the best way to do that.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a spool. It can be used to sew with on a machine, hand sew, or in my case, to spin with for wool yarn.HOW I TRIED TO USE THISi used this by combining this reflective thread with wool that I spun into yarn. That made the yarn have a stripe running through it plied with it to make the yarn. Then when I knit it, I might use the thread again to knit into the hat. That uses up quite a bit of thread, so one spool only works for a hat if I do that.Another way I plan to use this (I have only done some yarn so far) is to sew snowflakes embroidered once the hat is knitted. That way there will be more surface to see for reflection. I think that I might just change over to that instead of trying to spin all of the yarn for the hat plied with the reflective thread.DOES IT REFLECT?The thread does reflect, but honestly, I think that more surface showing allows better reflection of the thread to see from a car. That is the purpose I want it for, so I am still trying to figure out the best use for this thread. I am thinking embroidery on the hat once finished (as in multiple strands of thread to embroider with) will be the best use.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is hard to figure out what to do with. It does reflect, but to be seen by a car at night, I think more surface area is better. I thought that it might work plied into yarn or knitted into a hat, and it does, but embroidery or more surface area seems to be key to really be seen.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I wish there was a bit more thread on this spool to experiment with knitting. For embroidery it is fine though. The more surface area covered the better it shows up compared to strands here and there.

Not great.
Sorry but this just wouldn't work in my sewing or my embroidery machine. I had to return it.

MUY PEQUEÑO Y MALA CALIDAD
Solo sirve para coser a mano, en la maquina se rompe a cada movimiento, intentamos con 3 maquinas distintas y el resultado fue el mismo.

I love this
The media could not be loaded. I use this to add in my crouched & knitted hats. It was the cheaper version of buying yarn with it made into it.
