Loved this book. Full of all we love in our mafia books. Matteo and Catherine true enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, hot sexy scenes, bad guys and killings, great stuff. Would definitely recommend this book. Thoroughly enjoyable read😍😍

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.After his father was murdered whilst visiting New York, Matteo steps up and becomes the new Don. He decides that he and his two brothers will make the three men responsible not only pay for their crime but suffer too. But it's not death or physical torture they choose, no he decided that their daughters would be forced into marriage with them! What better way to gain the upper hand and make the three men responsible pay?First, the Police Commissioner's daughter Catherine was abducted by and forced to marry Matteo, as you would imagine their relationship was not an easy one, they are both strong personalities and although they share palpable and explosive chemistry she didn't enter this marriage of her own free will and perpetually fights her growing feelings for the man she considers a monster.As the story progresses we learn why Matteo is the way he is, we also see Catherine adapting to her new life in Tuscany, we learn a well-kept family secret, a secret that puts Catherine's life in danger, which forces Matteo to admit that his prisoner Bride has become so much to him than he ever intended as they both somehow end up falling in love. Matteo will always be a demanding man, a man who insists on obedience whilst Catherine will continue to fight for what she wants which makes their journey to their happy ever after a very explosive, entertaining and enjoyable listen.The book is, as you would expect dark at times and very hot so if forced sex and spankings offend then give this book a miss but if it doesn't then grab yourself a long cool drink and sit down and enjoy!The narration of this book is superbly done by the very talented Thomas Locklear, a master of his craft who this time treated us to a very sexy Italian accent.

I enjoyed this story and hope that there will be at least 2 more in the series! I was intrigued from the start. I loved the way that Catherine did not just give in and mould herself to a well behaved wife. She refused to bend and stood up to Mateo at every opportunity. She was everything that he needed, although he didn't realise it. I would like to see what happens next as there are still a lot of unresolved issues going on. There is a lot of chemistry between the two, it was very hot! Hope to read more!

Matteo and his brothers are out for revenge after their fathers death, and he plans to do that by getting his fathers enemy daughter to become his wife. Catherine and Matteo steamy up the pages with their love and hate and desire between them! the story line keeps you engaged and the twists and turns come out of no where! well written good story and characters that make you feels!

I absolutely love mafia books and have read a lot! But this one wasn’t really for me! I knew a quarter of the way but I just hate leaving a book unfinished so I painfully made my way to the end. The last quarter wasn’t so bad!What didn’t I like? Firstly all the spelling and grammar errors ugh it was like a puzzle trying to work out what PS meant!Secondly I didn’t like either of the main characters. Matteo was really creepy! And Catherine was just unbelievable. Hate to love 0-60mph just didn’t flow well.And finally the mafia part wasn’t there for me. The build up of the mafia storyline was okay but the result was utter rubbish.This is my second book by piper I have read and didn’t like the other. But wanted to give a fair chance. I found her writing immature and lacking. Sorry.

This is book 1 of the Benedetti Empire Series. The feisty heroine Catherine is taken for an arranged marriage in revenge for Matteo’s father’s death. There is explosive chemistry with these two. The twists, turns and the suspense is sooo good kept me turning page after page well into the night. Highly recommend!

I love the chemistry of the H & h. So many twists and turns of emotions. Matteo is one angry and demanding man..his obsession with Catherine is OTT. Catherine is one smart and tough woman. She knows how to handle Matteo even though he tried very hard to kept her out of his business and tied her down to his side at the same time. Love the HE...A good start for another series.

Piper Stone has created a beautifully dark revenge filled romance with a mystery running through the storyline. The Hero and heroine are both strong personalities who are perfectly matched in temperament which tends to confuse both of them and causing anxiety. There are three princes in this family and we get to see bits and pieces of the you get two. This is the story of the oldest.

Matteo set out to avenge the murder of his father by the head of the Irish mafia, police commissioner and senator. The three men had daughters and Matteo plan was to arrange a marriage between him and his brothers to these women. Matteo ended up kidnapping Catherine because she wasn’t having anything to do with the plan her father had made to save himself. She was feisty and she didn’t abide by the rules Matteo put in place. They ended up breaking each other down and in the process their love blossomed. So many secrets that the father and mother kept from their sons and a half brother they never got to meet. Love prevails for Matteo and Catherine with a wonderful HEA.

This book is really good!!!! I love the story line and it had a lot of twist which kept me turning the page!!! I really love this book as the start to the series!!!
