Decent little dust extractor
Suction power is reasonable, Sucks up all dusts but can sometimes take a bit of time to suck up heavier items but they do go once the end is in the right position.I’d like to address a couple of issues I was worried by on previous reviews - sounds levels are fine, sounds like any vacuum cleaner. It doesn’t make any weird noises when running just as extraction, it does make a knocking sound at the end of the suction period when using the power takeoff to run tools and automatically turn extraction on - however this isn’t abnormally loud and no louder than a normal cleaner. What I have noticed though is that it takes a few seconds for the extraction to turn on so sometimes you miss the first bit of dust. Little annoying and could be fixed so easily. The other thing I was concerned about was the exhaust pointing up at your face(?) mentioned in previous reviews - there is no issue here if you have the unit on the floor, it’s only something I notice when I bend down over the back of the machine to turn it off or something - it does blow upward but doesn’t disturb the process, and the hose is so long that the extraction unit should be miles away from you anyway, so not an issue for me or most others I would guess. Don’t stick it on a bench facing away from you and stand over the back of it..Final thing I was concerned about was the bag capacity, I thought it might take very little time to fill a bag, but actually I’ve done loads of extraction and vacuuming and had no issues with loss of suction or bags needing changed. It does feel a little cheap and light, but does the job and I haven’t had any issues over quite a lot of extraction so far. Fittings are also very cheap, but still do the job (except the vacuuming attachment, the brushes/wipers keep falling off, so I’ve swapped in my old makita one)all in all, pretty impressed for the price, does pretty much everything my previous makita did at a fraction of the price of the nearest class m device.

A decent product.
What I like is it has good filtration and a power take off for tools like routers up to 2.2kw and it is a fairly compact unit. What isn't so good is:1 The hose and tools are of relatively poor quality.2 The filter bags are expensive and not reusable and fill up very quickly . I have found an after market seller who makes a reusable bag for it.3 there is no bag filter available even after market that I have found to go over the main filter to keep the bigger chunks off it like I have for my older Trend dust extractor. the bag filter is good to extend the life of the expensive main filters and negate the need to buy expensive disposable bags or reusable bags which need emptying.

Excellent workmans assistant
Great for all round site and DIY dust extraction. Filter cleaning cycle, auto on when connected to tool, great suction. Keep the hose straight and it will rarely block, easy to clear. Bags expensive.

The vacuum seems to have a major fault
So I got this to replace my Hetty/Henry Hoover as I was fed up loosing suction when the bag was half fall and liked the idea of having the auto filter clearing function, I also liked the fact it was a class M and should be better for my lungs. The problem I had was the bag/hose connector failed on me twice in two different ways and let the dust into the bin and filter. The very first time I used the vacuum this happened to me and I took me ages to figure out what went wrong. The reason it failed the first time was there was a small fault on the bag where the rubber seal was (the rubber was stuck to the wrong side of the cardboard) I was a bit annoyed but thought it's just a one off faulty bag, I checked the others and they all seemed ok. So cleaned the whole bin and filter out, at this point I did notice some of my sanding dust had mad it's way through or around the class M filter which was a bit worrying.I set it all up again making sure everything was fitted tightly, all way going well and I was enjoying the auto start feature when I was using my chopsaw, after a little while I checked inside to see if everything was ok, the bag was about half full and it was all clean so the next day I carried on using it untill I noticed a little loss of suction and could see the filter light had come on, when I opened the bin to change/check the bag it had done it again and there was dust everywhere! The dust had managed to burst out of the card/rubber the the hose goes into.I called up trend to explain my problem and initially he said it shouldn't be doing that and then he put me on hold, when he came back he said that's normal and that I need to change the bag before it full.I don't think it normal for the bag to explode every time it gets full! My Hetty doesn't do that it just looses suction then you change it.I returned the trend and am back to the Hetty until Im recommend something better.

Super vac
Perfect for my small workshop, not too noisy , good capacity at 27 litres. Like the ability to plug tools into vacuum for auto shut off . Very pleased with this extractor, decent value too!
