Please dont bother
The games duet remains the authors best books. This is way overhyped for nothing. Caden and Greyson just didnt resonate with me.

Incredible
My god, this was incredible. An absolute and utter mindfuck that intrigued me from start to finish.Reiss' writing has improved dramatically since her Songs of Submission series and she is now one of the top in the indie community, without a doubt. The emotion (and lack thereof) flowed through every single word within these pages and I was utterly blown away. This is not for the faint-hearted. Lines were walked and crossed, particularly between abuse and BDSM, but the way it was handled was immaculate and the anxiety it caused completely intentional. My brain and my emotions were all over the place: horrified, aroused, disbelieving...you name it.Absolutely, absolutely incredible.

Confusingly compelling
This book really did my head in but I couldn't put it down. I hadn't a clue what the hell was going on for most of the read but I had to know more. Perhaps the complications drew me in, I don't know. What I do know is that the amount of research the author must've conducted for both medical and military matters was significant and she should be applauded for that. The story itself is so complicated and intense, I struggled to follow it at times. How does anyone think up these things. Well written for the most part although the twists and turns made it difficult to follow at times. Characters were well developed and well matched, was really drawn to both of them. Desperate to read the next book to find out what happens.

So good, so frightening, so repeats itself
Very impressive. Frighteningly so. A little difficult, if I'm honest, to distinguish the two-in-one husbands. As you read on it get's a bit easier, but not what I'd call easy. What began to worry me, however, was the way that the narrative was growing repetitive. The ultimate-ultimate orgasm can only come out differently in the end if the heroine dies. The second volume is possibly even more frightening, but the climaxes (and I do mean climaxes) are even more carbon-copy and repetitive. I am going to give it a rest before I attempt the remaining volumes. Maybe my problem is saturation.

Breathtaking
This is an intense, breathtaking read that I couldn’t rip my eyes away from.Caden and Greyson are a conundrum. I started the book with one opinion of them and their situation, yet ended it questioning my early judgement. Just who is driving the situation? Which is the cause and which is the effect? An interesting and unexpected thought I’m still musing over. The characters, the storyline, the whole writing style is exquisite. I’m drawn into the story as though I’m a voyeur watching it unfold in front of me. I just know that this series will stay with me for a long time. Which is just as well, because I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of this couple. Simply stunning.

I tried to like this book...
I read the prequel to this book and it somewhat interested me, so I bought this book. I managed to finish the book, but I have no interest in buying all the sequels to see where the story goes. It's not that the story is too dark, it's just that frankly, it's boring. Whatever is wrong with Caden or Greyson sure as heck doesn't justify dragging the storyline out for 4 or 5 books.
