HOLDING STRONG
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this product a few years ago when I first started to do my backpacking trips. It has withstood the test of time with no issues. I've used it on the JMT, Tahoe Rim Trail, etc. It does the job and has yet to fail me.

Strong and Light
Shovel is light but strong. Handle is uncomfortable so I added some parachute chord and made it easier to grip.

Most useful tool on the trail
I didn't think I'd use this shovel much, I'd always found other tools to dig cat holes with, but on a recent trail this little shovel was perfect, light weight, but tough. The ground was hard and full of roots and this trowel worked great and never bent. I wrapped the handle with gorilla tape so the edges were not sharp. Good buy

Naceture TI vs Dig Dig vs Deuce
So, I had the chance to compare all three. Bottom line: I ended up keeping the Deuce for a variety of reasons. Why? Well, backstory. The reason I purchased this was to have a lighter and stronger version of the Deuce, which I like. I've had some issues using the deuce to dig in firmer ground, however I realize now that I was using it wrong. You are supposed to flip it over and penetrate the ground with the handle piece. With that being said... I compared all three by attempting to dig cat holes in somewhat dry and hard ground. I used the Naceture Titanium, however, it's a lot thicker than I was expecting. It's the thickest of all three, and therefore it does not penetrate the ground well at all. It ended up hurting my fairly large hands. The side saw teeth are fairly sharp, though not as sharp as the Dig Dig. The DD penetrated the ground the best, however the inner edges of the handle are sharp-ish and could potentially cut/hurt your hands. I feel that one really doesn't need another angel of potential injury when out in the backcountry, or, really anywhere. Plus, when you need to take a number 2, you really don't want to be hurting your hands as you dig a cat hole. lol. The Naceture is extremely thick for being Titanium. I wonder if they even designed their product to be used the way the Deuce is meant to be used. But either way you use it, it's difficult and would be greatly improved if they could make it as thin as the deuce or dd. For now, I am sticking to my #2 and will use it as it was designed to be used!

Small, light and awesome It is actually a decent "mini multi tool" I bot it as a small shovel for my camping kit. It is indeed small, but for small tasks it absolutely does the trick. The serrated edges come in handy as do the little wrench holes in the handle. These come in handy for grabbing aluminum tent pegs that are hard to grasp. The handle is sorta small, sorta sharp, so be mindful of that, you might need to wrap a cloth around it or use a glove if doing a lot of shoveling with it. This is not a backhoe or a conventional shovel, so I doubt you will be digging a trench with it.
