Totally Bamboo Aruba Bamboo Serving and Cutting Board, 12-1/2" x 8"

Very pleased with the quality of this board for only $13 - Just the perfect size board for what I needed - people leaving bad reviews because the board was smaller than expected? - read the description and dimensions first - there are a handful of different sizes available- Board is very nice looking, level and smooth - I did take a small piece of 200 grit sandpaper to a few rough spots on the corners in order to smooth them out a bit more - it only took a few strokes to get out the small imperfections to make the board perfect - no big deal - when cutting blocks are new, always start out by rubbing a thick coat of butcher block oil/wax into each side of the board to soak in and let dry - then repeat the process a few times before using - it’s good practice to rub in a coat of oil/wax every once in awhile to help keep the wood from drying out from use - take care of your tools and they will take care of you

This is a beautiful object and worth every penny, if you can keep it up and it suits your needs. We've had this for two years and seven months now and I'm finally throwing it away.I researched the heck out of it, and heard the best way to oil these is coconut oil, because other oils, even the suggested on by the manufacturer, attracts yuck and rots the board. I had to treat this board about 10 times when we first got it to get it cured in the first place, that took about three days.I never used it because whatever you chopped or cut on it ripped through the grain of the board, and then the food got down in there and smelled or brought on mold. We had to clean the board thoroughly and then re-oil the thing, lather rinse repeat.We got to where we didn't oil it all the time and it got so dry it was almost a fire hazard. Again, if you can keep up with it, it's a gorgeous piece and worth every penny. Bamboo is just not for us.

I store it by my sink. Takes up just a little space. Perfect for prepping fruits and veggies for lunch, dinner, & snacks. I just wipe it down between items and clean it with a sponge. Just what I was looking fot.

We love the look and feel and size of this board. Our old board, that we reserved for fruit and cheese, was round, 9-inches in diameter and cramped, w/ food frequently falling off the sides. This Bamboo board's shape and size is just right, a bit larger dimensions but still light and handy--thank goodness for the reviews that said they were glad they did not go smaller.

Very good looking bamboo cutting board. I use this at my home bar for cutting citrus and other cocktail garnishes. The stripe runs completely through the depth of the board, it is not an inlayed veneer. The stripe is bamboo, but the grain is at a different angle to make it stand out. Good size for a utility cutting board, and an attractive one.

a lot of reviews say they were surprised about the size. well, the dimensions are in the description!! yes it's smaller than a "normal" wood butcher block and it doesn't take much room on the counter and it's pretty. oiling it all the time is annoying.
