I purchased this two years ago due to dry eyes and irritation. My eye specialist advised to use at night, because it will temporarily blind you for several hours. He told the truth. This gel goes in easily, does not sting or burn, and lasts till morning. I just wipe the outside of my eyelid with a damp wash cloth and go about my day. Optase Hylo gel is effective because it lubricates and provides an extra layer of protection for your eyes. I will purchase again as the price is suitable for my budget. I would highly recommend Optase Hylo gel for anyone suffering with dry eyes and irritation.

This is a super effective product for nighttime use and noticeably cuts down on that dry-eye feeling first thing in the morning when I wake up. The packaging could use a little work, though. I find that the gel has a tendency to ooze out of the tube a little even after I stop squeezing it, and over time that makes the cap gunky.

my first time using this type of gel thick eye drop. it burned at first. and i figure out when my eye is more hydrated during the day with other eye drops when i apply this at night it doesn't burn. but when it is not as hydrated during the day it will burn for the first few mins. but in the morning i see a difference of how it helps my eye during the day time.

This gel was recommended by our eye doctor. It really works. Eyes feel good in the morning. Never skip a night of use.

This is my 2nd order of this ointment. Both times the seal has been broken BUT the tube appears undisturbed and the ointment itself is fine. It’s very greasy which is reasonable to expect. Once it’s in your eye, it’s difficult to see/read. So I use it at bedtime. It does what it’s supposed to do so my cornea is protected overnight. It costs less online as opposed to my local pharmacy.
