Parker Safety Razor 56R Heavyweight Double Edge Safety Razor with 5 Parker Premium Platinum Stainless Steel Razor Blades – Classic 3 Piece Design (Graphite)

This is my 2nd Parker DE razor and it lived up to my expectations. Looks great and is medium aggressive when paired with the proper blades. The shave is perfect, once you have mastered the technique of shaving with these razors.After you're done, it is recommended to clean the parts with soap and warm water with an old toothbrush, shake off the water and rub dry with a cotton t-shirt etc. Also, it is preferable to keep the parts separate on a shelf to let them dry off completely. This will help prevent any rusting and the razor should serve you for a long time.

There are many Parker razors available in Amazon and its confusing. So, I spent a few hours to compare all the available modes using the information available on Amazon, on Parker website and in other places. If you want a moderate weight, well balanced razor, which not very aggressive (good for daily use), has long handle, has good grip, is closed comb and not of butterfly design then this is a very good option. I have used this for more than a month and I have no complains. This one still feels bit heavy to me but there are other models which are heavier than this. The design is awesome. Other models may be good too. Key is to know what is your requirement.

Shave feels pretty good because of the heaviness of the razor. I used Merkur 23C and Bombay Shaving company razors earlier. The heavier head of this razor made the shave experience better than my old razors.

Compare to 78R it is Not upto the Mark.

This is a new razor from PARKER, I found it to be a bit aggressive from the PARKER 94R but I always get a BBS shave with this razor in two passes with a Feather blade that too without any irritation or cuts, there is no need to spend a huge amount on costly foreign razors, highly recommended 🙏🙏🙏👍👍

A very good product. Heavy weight handle compliments the heavy weight head to give a very smooth shave without nicks and cuts. A product that can be used by starters as well as daily shavers. It is moderately mild in nature of shave.

One of the most versatile yet beautiful looking razor anyone can get , really impressed by the build quality of the razor .

This my second Parker heavy DE razor. The one I have gives consistently great shaves with Personna Israeli Red blades so I expected no less from this shaver as well.I had my first shave with the just delivered razor and blades. I'm happy to report both blade and razor delivered a BBS shave right out of the box.Highly recommended!

Tried a few different razors, and this is the best value for your money. Weight feels great when shaving, and is the perfect length. Highly recommended!

My husband loves this razor! He wanted a heavier razor and the weight is what may make it not as easy for beginners. He has had several other brands this one not only looks classy and easy to grip, it the blades are easy change out.

This razor is high quality and ticks all the right boxes if you want a “heavier” razor with a longer handle AND (it’s a big “and”) are NOT looking for an aggressive razor. This is a comfortable, moderate shaving razor that would work for somebody who shaves daily, shaves quickly or even wants to switch to a safety razor for the first time. As long as your not looking for an aggressive shave, it’s a great razor.

Parker razors are a bit pricey, ridiculously so. Not the case with this model. It looks good. But more importantly, it has heft and glides smoothly, allowing for a great shave.
