A Great Throw Back!!
Exactly as described! The classic game of sorry. Fun for the whole family and the classic design is far better in my opinion to the new style. Great addition to family game nights!

Classic Sorry Game
I purchased this for a cute little girl in a family whose father has to work out of town most of the time. I spent some quality time showing her how to play and she LOVED it. She plays the game at school, with her sisters, and her grandparents and takes it with her in the van when she travels to see her dad. It is compact and easily packed in carry-on luggage.

Better than the new version
The new versions of Sorry has a game board that creates visual overload. This version is from the era at least up to the 1970s when we purchased it for our kids. That board layout is the same as this Classic. The deck of cards is from the era of the 40s but the cards are made of PLASTIC and all of the new Sorry games have cards made of thin cardboard when are awful to shuffle and use after a couple of games. These cards are GREAT (though not quite as heavy as the "original" but SO MUCH BETTER than the decks from the current version). We purchased one of the "new" Sorry games (really just for the deck of cards) and returned it because the board was a "visual overload", the cards were cardboard AND some of the directions on the cards were changed from the original. The game still played the same with the new rules but since we have played it so many years with kids and adults, we opted to use the "original" rules. ALL ages seem to really enjoy this game.

Sorry!!๐ You will not be Sorry!!
I played this game throughout my childhood and always loved it! I love beating my opponents, being petty when the Sorrys hit and just spending one on one time with my friends and family. My niece recently came over for an extended visit and we were looking for something fun to do that did not involve going outside (Heat๐ซ ) or binge watching tv all day. We did do some of that but I hadnโt owned a board game in a long time and always remember this game fondly. Well, she loved it. I even got my brother to come out of hibernation to play a few games with us. I think I might buy a few more board games soon. FYI, I bought the classic edition because I had bought the updated version and didnโt care for it.

Great classic
4 stars cause it doesn't look exactly like the pic. Not a big deal but it's the smaller two fold game. I thought it was the bigger box and only one fold. It was a gift still nice.

Excellent version, very close to original
If you're looking for a version of Sorry that is as close as possible to the original, this is the one to get. I have a vintage Sorry game from (I think) the early 1980s. This version by Winning Moves is very close to the original in quality. The board is the same size, folds in half, and appears to be the same material and weight. The cards look slightly different, but are of good quality. The tokens are plastic (as are the ones in my vintage set), and are almost exactly the same in size and weight. The colors are slightly different (most noticeable in the green tokens), and there is a bit of texture to the new ones that make them look less shiny. Perhaps that is to make them look a little more like the original wood tokens. Instead of having the game rules printed on the box insert, there is a separate rules booklet. I didn't really look through the rules in detail to check for differences, but at a quick glance the standard game rules looked the same. The tokens are stored in a plastic zipper-type bag, rather than having the molded slots in the box. I've uploaded photos of both the Winning Moves game and my vintage Parker Brothers game for comparison - sorry if they are not oriented correctly - I don't know why Amazon's uploader changes them.

Prefer this Classic version
I read the comments to find out that the newer version of Sorry doesn't have the original game rules as the classic, which is better. Also the newer version only has 3 pawns, not 4. I'm glad that I purchased this Classic game instead. Fast shipping. The parcel only took 2 weeks to NZ! The game board is sturdy but would have to be careful where it folds, as it is quite thinly taped. Maybe add extra tape (I used red insulation tape). I would've preferred a bi-fold board rather than quad-fold but that's minor. At least it takes up less room being quad-fold. Pawns are plastic but seem good quality and cards aren't too thin. The only down side was that it arrived with two squashed corners because it was packaged in a thin plastic bag. Sadly the game wasn't placed inside another box to protect it. Maybe to save money on shipping? Apart from that all is good. Thanks

Classic Sorry +++++
Avevo la versione per "ragazzi" di questo gioco quando ero piccolo: Col tempo le pedine erano andate perse e si erano rotte.Volevo ricomprarlo ma ormai in Italia รจ introvabile. L'occhio รจ caduto su questa versione in Inglese. Consigliato +++++

Sorry you don't own this
If you enjoy board games and by reading this it's assumed you do, then this is must-have Top 5 territory. I think it's sad it's so expensive for what's in the box but, notwithstanding, we have thoroughly enjoyed being reacquainted with it (after 40 years absence) and introducing the next generation to it.

A timeless game for all the family
My sister and i were born in 1945 and 1949 respectively - and as soon as I was able, my mother introduced me to the game of Sorry. The game was the same board, counters and cards as my Mum had played as a child. Our family is still using this original board, cards and counters, but at almost 100 years of age, they are really showing a lot of wear. The original game has never been replaced, despite newer versions appearing from time to time. We all love our older version - just the sight of the playing cards brings back so many happy memories to four generations of our family. With this 'original' version the cards look exactly the same, and even the board has only been altered slightly. Shame about the counters being plastic. Our original ones are turned wood - so if only the counters were the same (and much better for the environment), this 'original version' would be 90% perfection. Many more hours of happy fun for all the family will ensue I am sure.

Almost Identical to the 1930's version
Almost, but not exactly the same. The original game had wooden counters, which were much more appealing that ugly plastic ones. I still have the original, but it is really worn out now. It has been played by my Mum and her brother in the 1930's, my sister and I in the 1950's, our own children in the 1970's and now our grandchildren are obsessed with this game too. It is simple, but huge fun. It really is the best game EVER.
