This portable chess board is awesome! Small and thin enough to easily fit in my purse, great for use at restaurants—you can always have a chessboard on hand! It’s about as big as a large cellphone, but extremely thin. Fantastic quality. Highly recommend!

Amazingly thin. My only complaint is that the back rows aren't magnetic so there's no convenient place to store pieces to resume a game later other than placing the taken pieces upside down. Even still, being able to stash this away and have it take up virtually no space or weight is a definite plus.

We loved that now the computer can’t cheat and we can play together nearly anywhere…but we are still going to have to sort out a few practicalities. No worries though, people have been sorting these same practicalities for literally hundreds if not a thousand years or so at this point. The magnetic pieces are compact and do stay on their squares well even when the board is folded, but…if we play as usual and remove the piece when captured that presents a small problem when camping or traveling. The magnets aren’t quite strong enough to flip and affix to the board without their value showing, we had minor success stacking but only two high. Still, lovely for trains and buses, camping and the like. I most likely won’t attempt to bring it in an aerospace location because I like it too much and don’t want to risk it being confiscated due to having magnets. Great value for the low cost.

So much fun! We took this backpacking and it survived the trip intact. Excellent super lightweight way to have fun off grid. No subscription required! I need this exact same thing but for Go.

Expectation: Perfect for on the go whether traveling to work, school, or just traveling to place to place on vacation. It is small and compact so easy to store and the magnetic chess pieces are pretty strong definitely a plus however since mine was damaged probably from the shipping when it was delivered to my address hopefully if you are reading mine I highly recommend it plus if yours is also damage from the shipping you can talk or chat with Chess Armory representatives get a replacement board they do stand by their products 100% hopefully yours doesn't get damage when you received it.

While this is a basic inexpensive plastic set and not designed to bang around with or even take to the top of Mt. Everest... it could get to base camp, and may make it back down in one piece too. Assuming someone doesn't sit on or drop it. The design is pleasing and the price is perfect. It works for what it's intended to do.

I’ve bought two. It’s about the size of a check book. I keep it in my purse and my husband and I play at parks, restaurants, etc. Very fun!

I’ve had many small chess sets like this one. The wallet stile is convenient when studying the game with a good chess book. This one is near perfect. The pieces stay put even after closing. The two problems with most of these chess sets is 1; only one Queen instead of two per side. 2nd problem; it doesn’t have a storage space for captured pieces. I found a small cloth bag to hold those pieces, but a storage space would be nice. The overall quality is good and when needed I’ll buy another…

No lo sé.... me deja una sensación agridulce este tablero, las piezas sin duda tienen calidad decente por el precio, son imanes de los que usan para los refrigeradores, el tablero es un tanto frágil de las bisagras, ya que son completamente de plástico, si se te cae en una mala posición creo que esas bisagras podrían romperse, la placa magnética se raya con facilidad al desplazar las mismas piezas, talvez por el precio no se pueda exigir mucho, pero esperaba más calidad por parte de Chess Armoury, tal vez por este precio optaría por un tablero de viaje de plástico con piezas normales, aunque le doy el punto a favor de ser bastante portable, talvez quieras cargar con una pequeña caja de metal donde poner tus piezas al retirarlas del tablero, sin dudas es fantástico como tenerlo de colección pero siento que no es tan resistente para jugar demasiado con el, aunque el tiempo lo dirá.

El tablero es de buena calidad, práctico y buen tamaño. Las piezas parecen resistentes, y el imán ajusta bastante bien, por lo cual si no tienes un poco de uña larga es un poco difícil despegar alguna pieza a la primera. Quizá solo le faltaría estar indicadas las coordenadas para mayor facilidad al estudiar.
