CW-X Men's Stabilyx Ventilator High Performance Cooling Compression Sports Shorts

I have been using CW-X compression shorts and full length wear since 2009. I have big thighs andbuttocks, so I normally use Large for shorts and pants, even if I use Small to Medium Ts and jerseys.The earlier models tended to wear out quickly in the inner thighs, especially along the seams, but theStabilyx Ventilator shorts (and the equivalent full lenths) have improved in seam design so I haven't hadthis problem. The special nylon bands that follow the lines of the skeletal muscles (especially the IT Bandsand the calf muscles) do a better job than compression sleeves, with the added binding power around theknees to keep that structure nice and compact without hampering motion.But what is really unique to the Stabilyx is the high waist that effectively supports the lumbar area. Since Ihave had a laminectomy at the L4-L5 level, this support is crucial for anything above 15K for me, such thateven 42Ks do not tell on my lower back.

Had I not had the CW-X Tri Short, I likely would have rated this a great product. It fits well and provides great compression. I also have the cw-x 3/4 stabilyx of which I am a huge fan, so I know you get good quality with this brand). I purchased this pair because the tri short fit so well and provided great support. I wanted this pair to use just for recovery. Although you would think they fit the same (minus the padding), this pair does not provide the level of compression the tri short does. Had I not had the tri short, I would have been happy. But because the tri short is better quality, I returned them and will purchase another pair of tri shorts. The padding is extremely minimal in the tri short; even less than what you would typically find in another tri short. And about the same price.

I love these compression shorts. Road a 100+ miles in hot sunny and windy climate. My legs felt great! I purchased the CWX Ventilator Tights and wore them after my ride and over night. Legs felt great the next day. I could definitely tell the difference when not wearing anything. I am quad heavy and my calfs hurt a lot after running long miles. I also wore these on the plane. I highly recommend this to help prevent leg discomfort during and after flight. I sleep with these own after long workouts. Great!!! I want the shirt now. I also went swimming in these. They do dry fast!!

I own both these and the 3/4 version of the CW-X Stabilyx. I use the 3/4 version for long runs during training, for the extra support on my knees. However, I prefer these for races / days w fresh legs, coupled with compression socks. Very breathable in hot weather. I suggest washing them on a laundry bag or with clothes that wont get caught on the breathable mesh fabric.Completed my 1st marathon (Chicago Marathon '13) with these under a pair of RRS shorts for weather and to carry all my gels and chews. Very comfortable, no chaffing, redness, anything. Great day!

I have off and on leg problems. I do long runs and usually am sore and achy the next day. I've tried these once so far and I felt great the next day. I don't know if it's coincidence, but I'm looking into getting some full length tights because they did feel great to run in. I think it was worth the money.

This is my second pair of CW-X brand tights/shorts and I must say, they are awesome. Much more robust than anything else I have in my arsenal of core stabilizing tights for running. Fits just like a CW-X would, does it's job, and the Ventilator Panels make it look and feel that much cooler! This is the brand for me!

I really wanted to like these, but they are way too long for shorter people. I am 5'8" tall and bought a small. They end at an awkward spot right in the middle of my knee. They seem like they would be very nice for taller people.

After multiple machine washes and wears, this product has reduced immediate pain and recovery time after running long distances. I bought additional pairs.
