The reason is that there are many individuals who are selling used drives with 'New' labels and fake packaging. In some cases Amazon will not return your product and then you are stuck. Once you have identified a genuine seller, you have a genuine product. ✨️

Hard drive seem to be creating clicking sound , along with more Bluescreen error with unexpected memory and where there is no failure found from the hardware troubleshooting , however still post reinstalling the windows , expecting no more failure on windows now. Speed to load windows is low with 128 MB rom , better opt for 256 MB rom for better speed. Compatible with windows 10 older version , with 6 GB speed WD Drive utility application for more information on information on drive. Value for money driver for starter on data storage.

Extremely Disappointed with WD and Amazon – Received Altered Product, No Resolution I purchased a WD 2TB hard disk for ₹5600, expecting the quality and reliability associated with a reputed brand like Western Digital, and the trust that comes with buying from Amazon. What I received was a complete disaster: • The product arrived in only a plastic cover, with no proper packaging. • Upon connecting it to my system, it caused system hang-ups. • Attempts to recover or access data through software were completely unsuccessful. When I contacted WD for replacement, they outright refused, claiming that it was an "altered product" and said it cannot be covered under warranty or replaced. Their suggestion? “Contact the seller where you bought it from.” So I turned to Amazon, expecting at least some accountability. Shockingly, Amazon also refused to help, stating that since WD has marked it as altered, they can't proceed either. This is an absurd loop of blame-shifting where neither party is taking responsibility. Let me be very clear: • It’s 2 time used (connected to System), 1st time for data copying and 2nd time for data recovery and both failed. "Since the data wasn’t important, I didn’t attempt recovery. • I bought a new product, not a tampered or used item. • I trusted Amazon's platform and WD’s brand name, both of which have completely failed me. • The customer is left helpless, with zero support, no replacement, and no refund for a defective product that never worked. • Product is under warranty period. This experience reflects a serious lapse in quality control, poor customer service, and a lack of accountability from both WD and Amazon. If even big names like these can't ensure genuine products and proper after-sales support, then what exactly are we paying a premium for? I strongly caution others to double-check everything and think twice before trusting either brand with your hard-earned money. The so-called “warranty” is nothing but a scam. It’s just a marketing gimmick with no real support when you actually need it. Please don’t buy product which comes with product packing. I never expected to receive any product like this. I had earned that money through hard work, and after this terrible experience, I had no choice so purchased a new Toshiba Drive 2 TB from MD Computers with help of friend’s credit card.

Good speed, ok. My old hard drive failed on bad power supply, realised it later. don't know how durable new one is but till now it's working fine even with heavy load.

Orders 2 for a home server setup. Value for money. Can get the same speed as SSD. 1 disk failed within a year. Don't know my error or what. Was messing around with telnet.

Exceptionally faster when applied tweaks. Worth it! Please check if your gig support features, otherwise it will be under used

Product is working fine, I just surprised of packaging quality. As there was no outer monocarton or Box for product description or branding it was just a box for transit.

A few hiccups upon being detected but after a sata cable replacement, everything worked fine! EDIT!! I purchased a 4TB WD Blue Drive from amazon yesterday and I just outfitted my Plex Media Server's DVR Storage with the 4TB Drive... It was before 1 1TB+2TB Drives, now it's got 4,000 more GB's and it's almost 7TB total drive space! Won't run out so easily again! $100 for the 4TB WD Blue Drives is decent for what you get with that kind of money! Found I was running out of space for the Plex Media Server too fast so I remedied that issue with this 4TB Drive! I am very pleased and happy with WD and have had no issues with the drives so far! I love the 2TB WD Drives (DO NOT TRUST SEAGATE) I have had no issues with WD at all so they're in my good books! Note (1.8TB Actual Capacity found) not 2TB just .2TB short. That's okay though!

Compré este disco de WD para sustituir otro de menor capacidad en mi Pc y usarlo como almacén de fotos y archivos personales. Por su precio y capacidad era lo mejor que podía conseguir. Como disco de arranque tengo un SSD de WD también así que no necesitaba un SSD. Es de 2Tb de capacidad 7200rpm y cache de 256Mb lo que le da una velocidad muy interesante a pesar de ser un disco mecánico, además muy silencioso y velocidad Sata 3 6Gs/s. Tras unos meses funcionando correctamente me dió problemas al arrancar (fallaba el "spin on") y le costaba arrancar. Otras veces arrancaba bien, pero bien en reposo, bien en uso daba el error aleatoriamente. Me puse en contacto con el vendedor (B2M Zone) y rapidamente se pusieron en contacto conmigo. En unos días me sustituyeron el disco por otro completamente nuevo sin poner ninguna pega. Totalmente satisfecho con la atención. Una vez cambiado el disco, ha funcionado sin problema. Espero que haya sido mala suerte y me ha tocado uno con defecto de fabricación. Es raro porque llevo muchos años (mas de 20) utilizando discos de esta marca y salvo uno (por años de uso y bastante intensivo) no me han dado problemas. Si tienes la suerte (como yo) de que esté en garantía pides el cambio. Los datos es otro cantar...

Ho acquistato questo WD Blue da 2TB per aggiornare il mio PC desktop, e sono rimasto pienamente soddisfatto. L’installazione è stata semplice e immediata: il disco è stato subito riconosciuto dal sistema operativo senza alcun problema. Le prestazioni sono ottime per un HDD tradizionale: è veloce nell’avvio dei programmi, perfetto per l’archiviazione di file, giochi, backup o video. In più, è molto silenzioso durante il funzionamento, anche sotto carico. Western Digital è da sempre sinonimo di affidabilità, e questo disco non fa eccezione. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, ideale per chi cerca tanto spazio senza spendere una fortuna. ✅ Spazioso ✅ Affidabile ✅ Silenzioso ✅ Ottimo per l’uso quotidiano Consigliatissimo!
