Working really good.

It's been a good 5 months in use and it's definitely working better than the one my boss got at work. We use it for a log-in iPad which requires constant power and ethernet. When we first started this clock-in style, my boss had an adapter from a different brand and that one lasted maybe 2 months and it stopped working. I've had this adapter constantly running for 5 months, 24 hours, 7 days a week and it's still going strong.

stops working after short time

This works fine at the beginning and then suddenly stops working. The first one i purchased stopped working after one month. The second stopped working after 2 and a half months, the third stopped working after three weeks and the fourth stopped working after 3 months. The older version I used to have that was not the apple certified version worked great for a long time, but is no longer compatible with my iphone unfortunately. I would love to be able to find another model that works better than this one. I also liked the fact that the model I previously used did not have the flashing blue light that this model has.

4 Star, if you add epoxy to wire-to-base connection

All phone (🍎 & Android) Ethernet adapters eventually start to break loose where the wire enters the main body, causing sporadic charging & connectivity issues. The simple prevention/fix is to apply epoxy to the connection area (lightly roughen the plastic with file or sand paper before applying the epoxy, and allow epoxy to dry overnight).. This is simple to do, and should be good enough for most users of any phone Ethernet adapters. For those wanting an even more robust adapter - - the adapter’s wire can be enclosed in a piece of clear 5/16(O.D.)x3/16(I.D) hose that has been cut down its length, so the hose can be opened along its length for the adapter wire to be inserted. Lastly, a piece of 3/8(I.D.)x1/2(O.D.) clear hose can slip over the assembly, and be secured with a couple zip-ties.The above reinforcements are easy to do, taking less than 5-10 of effort, and has made my Apple & Android phone Ethernet adapters extremely rugged and long-lasting.The adapter’s blue light is a bit bright, so I cover it with electrical tape. This Apple Lightning Ethernet adapter works well - - do the previously-mentioned/disclosed “epoxy recommendation“ to gain maximum lifespan.I’m still determining if this adapter has weak charge issue?? Definitely, less than the full charge comes through, as compared when charging not using the adapter. All said, I’m pleased with the Internet usage of this adapter. 😊 it seems to be the best that Amazon offers, but I haven’t tried all the limited selection.Best,SUPER D

Awesome Ability to Hardwire IOS devices

Plug and play. Needed to update wifi policies on a tablet that would not connect to our MDM via wifi, go figure, lol. Hardwired got policies, now stays connected via wifi. Great tool in the toolbox.

Connected Once Again

I thought I could not use my ether net cable with my iPad but now I can. My WiFi is so unstable and so often I could go online but now I just use the his to connect. It is easy to install and works really well

Hmm

We’ve gone through at least a half a dozen of these and all of them gave out after about a month. Many reviewers shared this experience. When they work they’re fantastic but the problem is there aren’t really any other options bc, regardless of the brand, they’re all the same. we are not at all willing to back to using Wi-Fi in our home. Here’s what we’ve learned lengthens the “life” of the adapter: leave it in your device. We’ve left it in our iPad and charge the iPad through it. Our most recent adapter has exceeded the typical 4-6 week “lifespan” which we attribute to its being left in our iPad.
