Can I use iphone as hotspot and the adapter to connect to an ethernet switch so multiple devices could be online? Would connecting it to router work?

Hi friend, this rj45 adapter can only provide ethernet connection to your iPhone alone.

When the rj45 is connected with ethernet cable without poe, and the lightning charging is not plugged in, will it still work to browse the internet?

Yes, However, it'll not charge your device.

How do I connect this to my iPhone 13 pro max? What are the steps?

When you connect it to your iPhone or iPad you need to turn off the wifi, so that your phone or iPad can find the LAN ethernet automatically once you plug an ethernet cable for a hard line to your internet router hope this helps!!!

Plugged into a bunch of devices, but not getting ip address for any. using iphone 11 pm (waiting for 13 pm to ship). how to fix? faulty? dhcp enabled.

Hi friend, you need to turn off the WiFi function before using it, plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the adapter, and connect the Lightning end to your iPhone, then you can open "Settings" and click "Ethernet" to confirm whether you have obtained an IP Address, you can also check whether the network can be used normally through Safari.
