So far so good!
I bought the 1st Gen SE to use primarily as Dexcom 6 Receiver. I lost the OEM Dexcom and one was going to be close to $300.So, I took a gamble on this SE as Dexcom is very, very limited on Android available devices. The Iphone SE came in a plain white box and included a set of white corded ear buds, a white, 3 ft lighting cable and a white power block. I was able to max out the IOS update to 15.7.10. This device will not be able to update anymore. That was fine being Dexcom only needs IOS 13.The actual phone came in excellent shape! The only downside so far is battery life. Apple settings show the phone will only fully charge upto 90%.I would not buy this phone as a primary device due to battery condition and no more IOS updates coming, but for a secondary device and only $100, this little Iphone could be very useful and inexpensive for someone.

Great solution for me!
I bought this iPhone SE (Gen 1) to replace an iPod (7th Gen) that I broke. Apple no longer sells iPods and I really wanted something similar to my old iPod. This was the answer to my problem. The price was a lot less that purchasing another iPod (even if I could), and I am able to use it just as an iPod for music. I don't have a sim card, and no phone plan. So, if you want to use an older iPhone as an MP3 player this is the way to go for "Apple people." Go to youtube.com and look for information about using an iPhone as an alternative to an MP3 player!

The charger hums and phone does not stay charged.
The charger was pink, my son was not too fond of that. When the charger is plugged in, it makes noise so he unplugged it. It does not hold charge very well. Box was damaged as well.

Should have read the reviews... usually do
So , it says buy new - advertised new and get a used damaged and chipped phone , not in an iPhone case , the box was all the way opened , and the phone has multiple broken spots - non working charger - this is insane - do not buy , says brand new - its not - they are used - and crappy - this is so disappointing π π π I want my money back - also - when it shipped - kept getting delays - shipped from Florida- went to south Carolina- went back to Florida, back to South Carolina- different cities too , then shipped to our state , not our city ,sat there for 2-3 days in our state about an hour away - then told wouldn't receive until the 18-21 - get it this morning and it's a joke - like is this a joke ? Is the real thing coming ? I'm not ok with this , not with the money spent π π π I'm just completely beside myself - birthday gift - for my 15 year old son and get this - its always the birthdays - we end up with an issue... I want a new phone , either that or my money back to get it myself ....

If owner of this iPhone wish to watch You Tube shows, have power bank connected for best results.
This iPhone does not have face recognition feature , it has good working fingerprint reader and strong sounds; it can use both Ear phone connectors but life of battery is not up to Today level. It has to be all the way connected to power source for running You Tube shows without recharging the battery.

It will work with wifi calling and any carrier and is reliable BUT
So the first things first, I do recommend it for especially SafeLink, QLink, and Assurance wireless and with any other carrier of choice being gsm unlocked. You can only use wifi calling when the phone is out in airplane mode connected to wife and the camera is exceptional in 2022 but there's a downside to this. It is April 2022 and am currently running iOS 15.4.1 and is the last update for the first generation se. Overall I would use this for a primary every day phone and then have a good iOS or Android phone put in a safe for when you need to game or (insert misc activities) definitely have no problems using as intended and would buy it for children teenager adult and elderly for a replacement most definitely. Battery life is below average and mediocre
