The kit did get the phone open unfortunately I pried too hard on the glue and broke a connection requiring me to order a new screen. It was my fault not the tool kits fault.

I ordered this and installed it in my IPhone 7. It was easy to install and all the required tools were included ( it should be noted that the instructions are unclear and the English is not good) but the big problem is the IPhone does not “like” the battery. After installing this battery the phone states that the battery needs serviced. As an added bonus the Home button has ceased functioning. Multiple types of update and reset attempts to repair this issue have proven futile. I have opened and used the battery so I will not be returning it but will not be using this phone battery brand again.

I've had this new battery in my phone for about a month now. The product is performing well. The battery holds its charge and lasts a long time.The only drawback to the product are the skimpy (and mangled English) directions - HOWEVER - I doubt that any written directions could really convey the battery replacement process. They recommend watching a video and so do I.I bought this with the idea that spending $30 was worth a shot instead of buying a new phone. My phone was falling apart because the top screen was being squeezed off the phone due to the expansion of the defective battery inside.The WORST part about replacing the battery has nothing to do with the new battery. The worst part of the process was removing the old battery. The glue holding the old battery in place took about 2 hours (spread over 2 days) to pry loose. YMMV. Trying to find a balance between gently handling the delicate phone components and brute-forcing the old battery out of the phone was a challenge. The best advice I can give is to be patient and persistent, and take a break if you get frustrated. I wedged some thick plastic (like an old credit card) under the battery I was removing and that seemed to help - prevented it from re-sticking itself to the glue, perhaps.Good product.

Color me impressed! I watched a couple youtube videos walking through how to replace the battery and then used this kit and, voila!, after about 20-30 minutes, I had successfully replaced the iPhone 7+ battery and all is working well nearly a week into things. We'll see how long the battery lasts now in comparison (I'll come back and knock the rating down if it tanks hard early). I am knocking 1 star off because the single suction cup was nearly worthless. I had get someone to assist by quickly jamming the triangular wedge into the gap as I pulled for all my might. The weak little keyring-style wire loop stretched quite a bit and scratched my finger (unpleasant).A couple thoughts for the vendor: Please find a way to color-code the 3 screwdrivers that come in the kit! While the pentalobe driver was easy to ID, differentiating between the Phillips' and tri-tip was a wee bit challenging for these old eyes. Also, look into one of those dual-suction-cup pliers to include in the kit instead of the single suction cup so that one person can do the job unassisted.

Good value for the money. You will get an error message from your iPhone due to battery not being of Apple brand. Somehow the phone does not recognize the battery but it still works. The battery is represented as a bigger, stronger, better. It is not in fact. Yes it works fine but it does not have longer charge time than OE battery. It does not have longer standby ot talk time. Does it work fine, yes, but it is not a superior battery to the OEM. The 4500 numbers representing it's ah rating are bogus. But if they are accurate, than the Apple OE battery must be a 9600.

Bought the wife and I our XR’s back in May 2019. Upgraded to this battery in July 2022. My origional battery wouldn’t make it the whole day if i streamed much of anything online. I mostly use Pandora, Facebook, and Youtube. Would be at 10-20 percent by the time i get off work. Had to charge it to make it through the end of the day. Now I use it all I want. I don’t even close out apps in the background and still have 40-60 percent when I go to bed at night depending on my use that day. Great battery upgrade for the money!!! I broke the glue strips during battery removal so I had to heat and pry the old battery out with fishing string under it. Because its an aftermarket battery Apple will not give you maximum capacity % but not a big deal for me. Definitely recommend this!!!
