Great robot vacuum! Passable software
I've had the Z10 for a couple weeks now and it does a great job keeping my floors vacuumed! With the Z10 no more dust bunnies from my two golden retrievers (one of which sheds like crazy). It even cleans under the dining room table (lots of chair/table legs) which is a pain to vacuum. I have not tried the mopping feature. The Z10 does a good job getting the dog hair off my short pile carpets (my Dyson V11 does better but I don't have time/inclination to use it every day). The Z10 easily auto-empties the dog hair. The auto-empty design has two openings with one-side-in and one-side-out. This is why it is so effective in emptying dog hair. One slight downside of this design is the dust filter does not get auto cleaned. This means it needs to be manually cleaned periodically which is not a big deal.I do need to remove the hair on the roller brush every few days but I've needed to do that for all my vacuums (even ones that claim they automatically do that). The Z10 thoughtfully includes a hair cutting tool and has removable end caps on the roller brush. The removable end caps allow for easily removal of long hairs wrapped around the ends. I prefer to use scissors to cut wrapped hairs. The roller brush bristles tend to get clogged with hair and lint and to get them clean I need to use a fine comb (eg, a flea comb). Not as good as my Dyson V11 but not a big problem. The Z10 collision avoidance is nearly perfect as it rarely bumps into things. I also have a Shark Robot Self-Empty XL vacuum with VSLAM navigation, but it bumps into so-many-things so-often that I stopped using it. The Shark is almost comical trying to clean under the dining room table; it spends 99% of its time bumping into chair legs and backing up only to bump into another chair leg. I doubt that in 20+ tries the Shark ever finished cleaning under the dining room table. So, the Z10 is a great vacuum. Now about the software. It is passable but could use work. When first starting out the Z10 vacuums as the LIDAR maps the house. For me that was a problem as there were so much accumulated dog hair and the Z10 filled up and also ran out of battery. I needed to let it explore a while then call it back to the dock to empty and charge about a dozen times. I would strongly prefer that the Z10 map the house without vacuuming, then I could initially clean room by room. The Z10 software does a reasonable job of automatically determining rooms. Manually setting no-go zones is reasonable. But I want to vacuum my carpets every day and marking out the carpet areas is possible but a real pain (I've probably spent 2+ hours doing that).Another serious problem for me is the lack of control of the "cliff sensors". Cliff sensors are necessary for a robot to avoid falling down stairs. But, the Z10 cliff sensors think the black lines on one my carpets are stairs and do a contorted path over that rug missing quite a bit of it. To get the Z10 to vacuum that carpet I ended up taping over the cliff sensors but that it means it cannot distinguish carpet when mopping. So I get clean rugs but no mopping.I wish the Z10 had a "define carpet zone" but other than that I am really pleased and impressed.

Good vacuums when it works, longer than expected customer service turnaround time
Updated 9/29/2022Dreame support reached out and processed a replacement unit for me last month. It still took longer than I expected but I'm glad it's finally resolved. The product itself is great, you set it and forget it. About 95% of the time, there's no work on your end. Occasionally it gets stuck around our Nuna LEAF grow because of its wide footprint of support.---The roller on my vacuum stopped working about 8 month since I purchased it. I purchased a new roller but unfortunately the fix should be made on the vacuum itself. I contacted customer support in early May, just to set expectation, it took them two month to complete the fix. However, the package was lost when they returned it to me during shipping. Now I’m in the middle of this blaming game between dreame customer service and UPS with no end to the solution. The vacuum is great when it works, just expect close to no customer support when it stopped working.

Good Vacuum, obstacle Avoidance needs work
Overall this vacuum is pretty decent. Having owned four different vacuums from four different brands this one stacks up well. I decided on purchasing the Z10 because I wanted a lidar robot with a self empty base. These were two thing I wouldn't compromise on. I was originally torn between this, and another name brand robot vacuum and decided to purchase the Z10 based on price and it's obstacle Avoidance. Here's how the robot faired in my experience.Obstacle AvoidanceA cool feature on paper. Something's in the robot's way (sock, poop, cord, etc) and the robot will attempt to go around that object. While this does work MOST of the time. I found the need to turn it off in the app. While it did avoid things like books, controllers, and wires, it also would avoid things like clumps of dog hair, ergonomic mats, and a slew of other things it should be sucking up. I don't know if this is a color thing that it's having difficulty with, but I believe this MAY be something that can be worked out in a software update. Until then I'll leave it off, which is disappointing as this was one of my main reasons for purchase. Until an update, the obstacle Avoidance gets a 2/5Cleaning PowerThe Z10 has a decent amount of suction that seems to do well on both my hardwood and throw rug areas. It has a carpet boost feature that so far has been working well. I have three dogs and once obstacle Avoidance is turned off this thing does awesome with dog hair. I only wish there was a way to have the robot return to the base periodically through the cleaning cycle to empty its bin, right now the only option is how many cleanings between an empty. Overall though I'd give the suction/cleaning Power a 4/5.Lidar/Room MappingThe room mapping with the lidar works fairly well once the object avoidance is turned off. It maps the rooms very quickly and you can watch your house being mapped in real-time in the app. You can also see what room the robot currently is in in the app as well. Once you have a map of your home you're able to designate rooms, create no-go zones, and specify rooms that you want the robot to clean. It works well and creates a line on your house map where the robot has been during a cleaning cycle. Overall I give the Room Mapping a 4/5 only because the obstacle Avoidance really messes with the mapping.Self Empty BinI'm a little torn on the self-empty bin. First, I prefer bagless bins. Less waste in landfills, less future cost, etc. But the bag does keep the mess contained. The bin works well and sucks most of everything from the robot, I just wish there was a setting in the app where I could extend the bin suction time to 10+ seconds to make sure the stubborn dog hair is pulled from the robot. As far as the bags go I was able to order a maintenance kit from AliExpress with multiple side brushes, main brush, bags, and filters for roughly $30 which isn't a bad deal overall. I wasn't able to find anywhere on the website to order spare bags though. (They may be there, I just couldn't find them). Overall the self-empty bin gets 4/5.ValueOverall the Z10 is a decent vacuum for the price. (I paid $441 with coupons). Most of my gripes can be fixed with software updates down the line and with dreametech being a sister company to roborock I feel comfortable that this brand will be around for a long time, unlike similar Chinese robot vacuums. Obstacle avoidance can use some work. And some tweaks to the self-empty bin would make this purchase a no-brainer. Replacement bags on Amazon would also be nice. If you can get this vacuum on sale as I did I definitely would say pull the trigger and purchase. If you can't and this robot is priced along with the higher end, more established brands (Roomba, Shark, Samsung, etc) then I'd hold off until some of the software bugs are worked out.

Funciona muy bien, muy recomendable.
Aunque el equipo llego sin el contenedor de agua y el trapo para activar la función de trapear. La aspiradora funciona muy bien. Muy recomendable.
