Good shaver. Trimmer is handy. But it does have flaws.
*** Update Nov 2020 ***As I predicted, the trimmer guard attachment (the clear plastic piece) is failing. It no longer stays securely attached. So, when you use it, it slips off during use and causing shaving mishaps! So, be warned of unintended hair/beard style!!The rest of the shaver seems to be operating fine. If you don't need the trimmer guards, then you will be fine using the shaver.*** original review March 2020 ***Shaver is smooth and comfortable. The trimmer works as expected. However, here are the flaws:1) switching between the foil shaver and trimmer is bit awkward. You have to push the attachment bottom edge to pop it out of the socket and snap the other one in.2) The trimmer guards should have been designed as a single dial-adjustable guard instead two small separate attachments that can easily lost.3) at this price, it doesn't even come with a storage bag nor a protective cover for the foil blade. This is the first shaver I bought that doesn't come with these two items.4) while the soft grip material is comfortable, it is a dusts/lints magnet.Given the stated flaws, I will keep this shaver because there is no other shaver on the market that gives a full smooth shave with an effective trimmer all-in-one design. I have tried many similar shaver/trimmer/groomer and finally settled with this one.

Ok mid range option, but better value elsewhere
The packaging is ok, came with everything neatly organized. The shaver seemed to have some grease or lubricant on the foil out of the box - unsure if this was standard.First few shaves were sometimes painful and small nicks but this is normal when adjusting from rotary or other type of shaving.I used it consistently for about 2 months and it was better but was still a bit rough on the skin. It did give a decent shave when applying proper up/down technique. But it is very difficult around the neck region, sideburns, and contours, causing to go over multiple passes which gives irritation and nicks, and still misses hairs. Nicked my ear once or twice too. That's my main reason for returning it, that shouldn't happen at this price point and my 13 year old rotary shaver didn't do that. Shave is slightly better for dry I found, oddly enough. Was ok with hot water too but caused more knicks - may want to try shaving lather. However, this foil shaver does shave a bit closer on short stubble than my old Phillips rotary. Probably best not to use it on longer hairs (>5 days for most men). But for a few days growth the closeness was similar to my old rotary, whose blades were never replaced. The trimmers are a pain to attach and remove, you have to yank them off and you're worried that you'll break since it clicks into place oddly. Build quality seems ok otherwise but the attachment part is shoddy and plasticky. Trimmers are very average but the body trimmer is surprisingly decent.Cleaning is simple enough, just pop off the attachment and rinse thoroughly. Not sure how much the "easy clean" feature helps, it seems to get tiny hairs everywhere inside. Adding a drop of soap and letting it run seems better. It's quite loud while shaving, so be prepared for that even in the shower. Seems in line with most other foil shavers which are all very loud. This model is ideal for someone looking for an ok shave that may not tackle every hair, straight growing hair without circular patterns, and who wants all these attachments especially the body one, with 1 device. You can probably get a better model for slightly more or an equivalent shave for less $; I'd say this one isn't worth more than 80+tax in 2021. If hair missing/irritation and loudness are a concern, another model would be better. It almost feels like Braun is pushing customers to go for a better or cheaper model and not stick with midrange.

It gave me a very close shave
Nothing to dislike. For over 55 years I have always used Philips razors and have been great. The cost and quality problems of there razors and replacement cutters forced me to buy another brand. I have tried the inexpensive ones and they were terrible. This Braun was at a good price and there replacement cutters were at an acceptable cost. I have only had one shave and it is as close as a blade razor. Battery life does not matter to me what ever it is, is ok with me. I just want a close shave.

A disposable shaver does a better job
I owned the same Braun razor for almost 30 years. It finally wore out and failed. I started using disposable razors just for convenience. I recently purchased this new Braun Series 5. Took three times as long to shave to get a decent close shave and even then it failed the smooch test. My wife asked me to shave again. I really really miss my old Braun dinosaur.

Good Cutting Action-Surprisingly!
I've only been using this razor for a couple of weeks, as I shave every two to three days (lazy). By the time the 3rd day rolls around I have a solid growth going. When I unboxed this unit, I looked at the cutting heads and thought that they would never cut the 3 day growth, but I was pleasantly surprised that it chopped through it nicely for a close, smooth shave. It can be used wet as well.I has a lot of battery life after a full charge, however the downsides to this razor is that I think its a little pricey for what I got, and more annoying, the heads (like a wet razor) have to be changed periodically, and unlike the unit I replaced, the shaving head has to be removed and the trimmer has to be physically attached each time its used, for a beard or body hair. Its not an "all in one" in the true sense, in that the attachments have to go with me when I travel. Other than that, it works fine, and cuts well. If you can buy this in the 70-80$ range, I think it is not a bad buy.
