I'm not sure why, but I haven't had any of the same issues as people that bought their mixer around the same time as me. I think there might be a selection bias in that people are more likely to leave reviews if they have had a negative experience. I figure I will share how I maintain my machine and what my experience has been.Let me start by addressing the negatives that other reviewers have hit on. The lack of spring has never been an issue for me and the mixing attachments stay in place very well. I have not had any trouble with residue while using the bowl. I did take advice to fully dry the bowl immediately after cleaning and not to place it upside down, and I have consequently not had issues with rust formation under the lip. My ceramic mixing attachments are fully intact and have not chipped yet. The motor still seems in good working order. The only thing I have had to do is tighten the main screw a single time when it came a bit loose.I use my mixer on average 1-2 a week, and have used it for everything from breads, to meringues, cheesecakes, to batters. It definitely has the hardest time with breads and bounces around a little, so I probably wouldn't get this mixer if bread if your main use. Baking bread on the side, however, has been fine. Be sure to follow the guide on maximum mixing speed for each type of food, otherwise you may wear out or overwork the motor. If mixing for prolonged periods of time, feel the motor area with your hand to see if it is hot and give the machine a break if needed to prevent overheating.I almost let negative reviews prevent me from buying my KitchenAid around Black Friday of 2019 but I took the chance anyway and have been very happy. Maybe a warranty (with kitchenaid or a third party) is in order if you are skeptical, just in case.

I purchased this item for my wife for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. She has been wanting one for years and now she has one and has been using it since she opened it. The color matches our kitchen colors perfectly and as of right now I have not received any complaints. She can whip up large and small items with this mixer and apparently it seems as if she enjoys baking more now than she has before because she is now not using the old hand held conventional mixers which took a lot of work and time to prepare items. She can now multi task while this mixer does the work while she keeps moving on with her recipe's. As the husband and the one who purchased this for my wife, I would recommend to any man who's wife asked for a mixer to simply break down and get one. The cost is certainly worth it. We have three boys and with their friends over all the time, my wife certainly does not mind whipping up treats or breakfast or what have you compared to the time it took before.

OMG!!!! Best mixer EVER!!! And the price was GREAT! The color is perfect, it came with attachments and the splash guard, which I was not expecting according to the purchase information. I use this at least once a week. Today I whipped heavy cream and cream cheese in a SNAP! I was bored one night and what does one do... YOU SHOP AMAZON! And came across this beauty... I was surprised that this color was available! Matches perfectly with my beach home kitchen! And just so happens that this color was on MEGA SALE!!! I even used it to knead tamale masa/dough! It was my first time making them and it made it EASIER using this! I place a kitchen towel under it to make it easier to pull forward since I’m so short.

Who doesn’t want a Kitchen-Aid mixer? Getting it cheaper by buying refurbished was a major win. I love this - there is simply no comparison between this brand and any other home mixer. It made my old mixer look like a coffee stir straw. I’ve had it for 3 months, use it constantly, and have not had any problems Is this giftable? I don’t know a single home cook who wouldn’t be overjoyed to receive this as a gift. And you’ll probably get a load of treats as a thank you. There is a reason these mixers are passed from generation to generation- they’re simply that good.
