Easy setup right out of the box! Connected to my 2021 Explorer with the supplied cable, & hooked up within minutes. It does have about a 2-3 second lag if you're watching a video or using the voice for navigation in Google Maps, but it's tolerable. I don't watch videos while driving. I just did it for testing lag. I did purchase a USB-C to USB-C cable to see if it helped, & it did make a small difference. It will add multiple devices as well. I added my wife's to the same unit, & it allows you to select which device to use in the connection screen. Updating the unit to the latest firmware also is a breeze via Safari or Chrome browser on your phone too! Overall a great purchase! Almost a 5 star item, but I would like to see the price point a little lower considering what it is. I managed to find a NIB unit on an auction for less than $40... That's was worth it!

I bought this for my 2020 Ford F-150 that has a wired Apple Car play set up, but not native wireless. I've been using it with my iPhone 12.***Important*** Not mentioned in the description or on the item but you will likely need a USB A Male to USB A Male cable for this to work. The device still needs additional power though so you will then need to use the USB A Male to USB A Male cable to connect the adaptor to a cigarette lighter power source. Once both are connected it will take a few seconds for the adaptor to be available as a Bluetooth connection. Once connected it'll take another few seconds for the Carplay screen to come up on your vehicle media unit.Works great and once it's set up you never have to think about it again and it functions just like any other Carplay set up. There is a very very slight millisecond delay between your input and the phone's response compared to a regular wired setup. I got used to it very quickly.The only thing preventing me from giving this item 5/5 is that unclear instructions for set up. Once it's up and running it's a 5/5 every day.

This is a must have if you have Apple care play already installed and have to plug your phone in to get it working before. Simple to install and wirelessly connects your phone and Apple Car play. Make sure you buy the 3.0 version as it’s faster connect speeds.

The real benefit to buying this model is how fast it connects to the phone. From the moment I press the ignition button, it takes about 15 seconds for CarPlay to show up on the big screen. So by the time I've backed out of the driveway, I'm good to go. Buying a second one for my 2022 Sienna that's on the way.It's a pretty small device with a short cord. I was able to velcro it to a nondescript spot in front of the center console so you don't really see it. Highly recommended.

Works well with 2022 forester with Harmon Kardon infotainment system. Takes about a minute, but I don’t have to take my iPhone 13 pro out of my pocket and my audiobook starts right where it left off. Pretty much installed itself. Pleased with the purchase.
