It is a very nice piece of furniture and I love the fireplace unit! Instructions are clear.

Excellent product. Well made. All of the parts were beautifully packaged. Instructions were easy to follow... would buy again. Highly recommend. The fire looks real and the heater works great,. if needed. Everything about this unit was more than expected.

I love, love, #LOVE!!!!!!! my fireplace heater; It adds a certain Jena se qua to my studio apt.I don't watch T.V., so I use the top to display some of my favorite DIY floral arrangements; and other knick knacks.I usually leave it on at night because my windows are quite drafty.I need to read the manual because sometimes, I hear a clicking and have seen like a camera flash at times; so I turn it off intermittently; because I'm not sure, of how safe it is to leave it on for long periods of time;however, as mentioned my apt. is usually quite cold and drafty.This unit does not heat the entire room; I use it with a smaller heater; that also does not cover an entire room; the two combined provide a cozy and toasty atmosphere.... not too hot but enough, that I can wear lingerie type PJ's instead of flannel onies.As you can see from the picture, the fireplace looks quite authentic; I've displayed it on FB, Twitter, and Instagram when sharing my pics.... people are funny, won't say a word; that re-assures me that it is #FIRE!!!!!!!That's not the reason I display it; I display it because;I am an up and coming interior decorator; and plan to eventually generate income from my business portfolio.I love it!It is the "#bomb.com"and that's all that matters to me!I purchased the lighter brown farmhouse; my other furnishings are a darker brown; this color and the color of my drapery add an awesome contrast.#JUSTBUYIT!!!!!!!!

After reading tons of reviews I finally decided on this one. Some quick notes based on other reviews:Putting it together: took me and another person 2 and a half hours. Instructions are easy to follow and everything was labeled well but the order of the instructions make for a lot of wasted time. Could take less time if you read ahead and not follow the directions exactly as they have it ordered.Broken pieces:Part of what took a while to put it together was one of the side pieces was broken. I saw a lot of complaints of broken pieces but it’s made in China and it’s a piece you gotta put together, it’s a crap shoot and sometimes things aren’t perfect. I’ve included photos with the broken piece. Fortunately we had some ingenuity to be able to fix it ourselves with clamps and glue and some extra screws. The broken piece was definitely done at the factory where it was made as it was in the middle of the package and packaging was solid. It was a bummer we had a broken piece but it happens. So I only rated it a 4. It’s not a super expensive piece made of high quality materials or even made in the US, so you get what you pay for.Extra note: it is heavy! I don’t know how the delivery guy got it to the door but getting it inside was hard. The boxes inside individually were not heavy but the whole thing is heavy! Don’t expect to carry it far.Conclusion: even so, it’s as pictured and really nice. I love the flames and the ambiance it creates. The heater seems good too and love the space. I’ve got a 43” tv and it fits nicely on top with space for electronics and decor. If you don’t want to spend a ton and want a decent tv stand with fireplace ambiance and heater, I would recommend this but be aware there’s a chance something will be broken.Edit: I didn't realize at first that when I turned on the heater, I would get the E3 error about 10 seconds after the heat started running. So upon the suggestion of another review who said they got the E3 error and had to fix the motor, we took the back off and just spun the motor by hand to make sure the motor was working. After spinning the motor we reset the heater (Unplugging and replugging it in) and it now seems to work. It seemed like it might have just needed a "kickstart". Should I get the E3 error again, (its too warm to use the heater right now) I'll have to call customer service. Edited Conclusion: Read reviews. Hey maybe it "doesn't work" right away and maybe it "has a broken piece" but if you can do some work around yourself, if you can stand a slight imperfection and you can contact customer service and see if they're willing to help you (They have a number to call for such a thing right in your directions) then you should probably do it. You're not buying a super expensive high end product here that is going to be perfect. You get what you pay for and I'm pretty darn happy with mine even though the Heater didn't work quite right and there was a broken leg. It looks pretty, serves it's purpose and for what it cost, I'm okay with the slight errors it had.

Well I ordered this product a week or two ago and it arrived damage. Piece A and piece S. (The top of the whole unit) instead of returning it, I sent a message out directly to ameriwood and they had a new replacement piece sent out to me, and within 4 days I had the new top. I did it all online and the form took me a few minutes to fill out. I call that great customer service, and the unit itself looks good. One dislike I do have about it which is no big deal really, is that when you place the back cover panels on, they don’t really line up with the screw holes 100%. I used a smaller drill bit and made a few of my own holes so I didn’t crack the finish on it, although in one spot I did split it, but it was my fault for not realizing I wasn’t in the middle of the board the screw was going into. (Disclaimer: it was pretty easy for me to put together because I use to put sauder (Another brand) units together for my old job. Just follow the directions and don’t rush. I see a lot of people damaging the units themselves when trying to over tighten, move to fast, use power tools. Etc.

I gave this to myself as a Christmas gift and it was perfect! It did take me 2 hours to put together from beginning to end, but the end result was just gorgeous. The heating element is pretty good - I dont turn it on often, but when I do to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, it warms up the area pretty well.I love the storage compartments (which for now sit empty!) - and so does my cat! He found a nook to hide the first day. :) The color was right and it complements my decor nicely. Also, the width works well so I can display a few items of choice. I just love it.Yes, it is compressed wood with laminate, but it had no chips, cuts or anything. All the tools are labeled clearly and organized neatly which helped me put it together a little faster. If you get it, you won't be disappointed, especially for the prize I paid.

Really nice looking unit. One piece was broken in half, the strip across the front to stop the tv falling off. We'd read other reviews about this happening with not much support so we didn't bother trying to get another piece shipped, we glued it together and it's only noticable to us because we know it's there. Otherwise, easy to install and looks great.

Its not a bad looking unit. Does not put out a lot of heat and im not in a big room. A million pieces to put together with clear instructions. Heater feature is pretty noisy. Came with lots of poorly finished edges and one bad spot where the finishing is actually peeled off... of course its right on the top where its most visible. Tried to write them but have to call -- will update review when I learn their customer service level.

Over all I am thoroughly happy with the finished product! But unfortunately, one of the pieces was snapped in the box when I pulled everything out .. also, most of the screw holes didn't line up on the back .But a gorgeous piece when assembled!

Love it so far! Just like building something from Ikea. Instructions were very easy and I was able to set it up on my own in about 3 hours with some breaks. Looks great and heats up my entire living rooms almost tooo well. High recommend this fire place, it’s a beautiful piece for this price!

Excellent quality, fast shipping, beautiful fireplace. Had to call to request replacement door hinges as one adjustment screw was broken and representative was easy to get a hold of, and very helpful! Easy to build. Excellent customer service and finished product is a gem!
