GREAT BOOK
I have to admit, I am partial to anything Eddie Cochran related. I grew up on his music. His music taught me to play the guitar. His music and drive caused me to learn more about other musical styles and learn to play other instruments. Now that that is out of the way...I think this is a great book written by a family member of Eddie's. It seems a little more personal than the "Don't forget me" biography (which I also loved). If you are interested in Eddie Cochran, I would absolutely recommend this book. This is a must for any fan.

BREE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON-GOD BLESS HER.
THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT BUT I WAS REALLY TOUCHED BY THE CHAPTER DEALING WITH THE TRAGIC DEATH OF BOBBY'S BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER BREE.THE WAY HE SPOKE ABOUT HER IT IS VERY EVIDENT THAT HE REALLY LOVED THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRL.I WAS HAPPY TO HEAR THAT HE THOUGHT THAT BREE WAS ALL RIGHT IN HEAVEN AND SHE WOULD ONLY WANT JOY AND HAPPINESS FOR ALL.WITH THIS IN MIND I BELIEVE THAT BOBBY'S HEALING PROCESS WILL BE A BIT EASIER.GOD BLESS BREE AND MAY SHE ALWAYS EXPERIENCE ETERNAL HAPPINESS WITH THE DEAR LORD IN HEAVEN.

Too much about Bobby Cochran. I was not interested ...
Too much about Bobby Cochran. I was not interested in him. I just wanted information on Eddie Cochran. I think Bobby is just riding on Eddie's coattails!

I love the background
Eddie Cochran & Family story. I love the background, young guys having fun, then gets really serious about music, whilst seeming to remain genuinely modest, serious family problems & a fair bit of context & flavour to the characters involved. I find it difficult to criticise the book because I'm an E.C. addict & as well as a young genius in their midst with some top notch close associates. Eg Hank Cochran & Gene Vincent etc. the family had so much grief to deal with, Written in a refreshingly honest but restrained way, Eddie comes across as a real human & not an idol. I would have happily read twice the detail on his music though & half the amount on Bobby's, (no disrespect meant), though he's not over baring or big headed. V. good quality print, paper, photos. V.G. addition to the history with a privileged insight to his family.

Lesenswert!!

A Rockin' Legend
I was delighted with this book. It certainly showed the side of Eddie Cochran that many of his fans didn't know. He truly was the greatest guitarist that ever lived and his Nephew told us of how he would do the riffs etc. It is an interesting book on the personal life of Eddie Cochran. He was a heavy drinker and liked the company of many ladies which probably was norm for a rock n roll icon. It is so sad that we lost this great entertainer at the age of 21 for I am sure he would have been one of those stars that lasted through the decades. I know his music goes on forever and he was one of Rock n Roll's greats!Val of London
