Copper alternative
I've been doing copper piping for years. Recently, I tried this alternative piping and used this tool for the connections. It worked well. It does take a bit of strength to pump this thing, especially if you're in a confined space. But it worked flawlessly!Big Rudy

Great Price
My sone needed this tool for Pex A pipe and it worked as directed. It rotates as you clamp/ pump the product. I would definitely get one that rotates as you clamp down, especially if you’re close to beams, walls, etc., which was our case. Worth the $ if you have to make Pex A repairs or additions to Pex A piping. Also comes with 3 different dimensions which is handy, along with the carrying case to insure you don’t lose pieces or parts of the tool.

It works
I did about 100 expansions in two days. It's a good workout. Two things:1. For 1/2'' fitting you have about 3 sec, 3/4'' - 5 sec to properly insert the fitting. Have to be quick and agile. Better to have a helper.2. Some places were tight and hard to reach, so not a lot of leverage or space to expand the arms. Had to assemble some legs on the desk and then connect the whole ensemble.Overall, great tool. Of course, some battery powered tool is easier to use, but the price is 3 times higher.p.s. Previously I asked the question, if the tool has auto-rotation or not. It does, it's just hard to observe, but it does.

Nice to have around.
I didn't like the pipe cutters that come with it. I've probably run about 1000 foot of pex with it. Had no issues. Works well. Always remember to rotate the jaws a little after each time you pump. When it's cold outside I've had to put a hairdryer on the fittings to help it shrink back up. I probably over expanded the pipe a bit. Anyways it's pex. I use mostly copper now but this baby always comes in handy. The more you know how to do the more you grow. Lol. After-school special time. Good luck

Great tool to have on hand
I don’t do a ton of plumbing so I didn’t need the expensive automatic tools. I’ve used this set a dozen times when I need it and it works great.

Not sure if it’s auto rotating but tool was easy to use

Works well
It expands the pex-a tubing perfectly. The auto rotation seems to work without it in a tube but not as consistently when you have it actually inserted into a tube. I am still glad I got it over a fixed one.

the Pex-a style is the best.
I wish I can find the tubing for this. the pex system is broken into different category's. the Pex-a style is the best.
