As a wireless headset it's ok.... it does not cancel out surrounding sound so when you run water, make any type of sound , the person on the other end can not hear me speaking .... for the price paid for this headset I expected its quality to be a lot better.... I am not happy!

It's just okay for me - sorry Mr. Plantronics
I'm not sure why reviewers don't address the real issues with the headphones. It's a bluetooth headphone so it is supposed to connect and your party should be able to hear your voice. It has a battery so holding it's charge is expected for a battery operated device. The features I look for is bluetooth range and noise cancelling, the other bluetooth related features are expected. This headset has marginal (at best) noise cancelling. I'm not even certain if there is any noise cancelling on this thing to be honest, as I've had complaints about background noise. In comparison to my motorola HX550 which is one of the best bluetooth headset noise cancelling I've come across thus far, this is rubbish. I've the motorola extensively and this one falls short in almost every area of comparison. I would expect a plantronics headset that boasts GSMA noise and wind canceling to be a great performer but I'm not impressed. It is comfortable and the battery lasts - I'll give it that much. For the price it is okay. I probably would not buy it again though.

Quality, Value, But a few things I would change/improve
NOTE: I have the black one, not the whiteI bought this to replace my Plantronics Marque 2 bluetooth (that I REALLY liked) after accidentally putting that one through a washing machine cycle and ruining it (what I thought was permanently, but it actually worked again after being stored away for 8 months... how cool is that?!). I went to the store where I bought the Marque 2 to buy the exact same one (because, again, I REALLY liked it), but they were sold out and this Explorer 502 seemed to be the best option from the ones they had in stock.Pros:*very easy to pair, good sound quality (I like to listen to music, and I like clear sound when I'm talking on the phone)*charges very quickly (takes about 30-45 mins to charge it from no charge)*long talk time (7 hours)*holds a charge for a long time while not in use (up to 180 days)*has decent range... I can use it up to 33 ft away from the device it's paired with... I can walk around my house (to the nearby rooms but not the furthest rooms) and still get a signal*volume goes up loud (I had a cheaper brand in the past that wouldn't go loud enough for me)*I never had any complaints from people I talked on the phone with, they always heard me well without me having to yell or repeat myself*It was pretty reliable, doing what it was supposed to do the vast majority of the time*Good value/quality for the price*small, lightweight, discreetCons:*missing some of the features I really liked on my previous bluetooth (such as being able to answer incoming phone calls by saying "answer" and the ability to locate the unit when lost (hey this thing is very small and easy to misplace)*after having it about 5-6 months, I would sometimes hear an almost "skiping" sound that mostly ruined my listening experience when playing music, but it didn't happen all the time, and after a couple months, got to a place where it rarely happened anymore. I thought it might have been the device I was playing the music on, but then I paired the bluetooth to another device and got that same "skipping" (almost like a "skipping" sound... similar to the sound that happens when a CD skips)Overall, I have to say it's a pretty good bluetooth. I was in the market for a new one because I lost this one a few days ago (and this one doesn't have the "locate" feature on it like my Marque 2 had), so I was going to buy another Marque 2... until I decided to pull out my old Marque 2 that has been in storage about 8 months (because it stopped working shortly after I washed in the washing machine), and what do you know? It works!!! Plantronics is definitely a quality manufacturer and they put out quality products, so I have to give them props. I have my little hang-ups about this Explorer 502, but it's mostly personal preference. If you're considering this one to buy, it's a good competitor, especially for the price.
