Canon FD to Sony E
This review is only for the FD>E adapter and should not be used to gauge the quality of other adapters (hate how Amazon list products together like that).I'm specifically adapting a Canon nFD 50mm f/1.4 prime lens (love the warm color reproductions, smooth bokeh rendering, decent sharpness, and good flare resistance but heavy ghosting of this lens). The fit to the lens took a couple minutes but that's more the fault of a heavy worn lens than an issue with the adapter. Once on, you'll need to turn the "lock" ring that actually actuates the lens into a 'depth of field preview' mode. This lock ring is actually my only issue with the adapter. It has a tendency to side when not intended and you often end up accidentally changing your apature with little feedback due to this. To solve the issue, I held the "lock" ring in the locked position and added a drop of super glue so that it wouldn't turn any more. Despite the labeling "lock", you can detach and reattach lenses, even when in the lock position but it does take a small amount of finesse. I seriously recommend getting a separate adapter for each adapted lens that you keep in your camera bag- it just cuts down on the number of things you need to fiddle with and there's less opportunity for gear to get damaged or dirt to get on your sensor. After my slight glue mod, the adapter works just fine. The black coating seems to be durable and cuts down on reflections inside the barrel perfectly well enough (though not flacked or anything fancy), the mount to camera (A7iii iii my case) is smooth and study, and I have hope that the build quality will make this last as long as my lens will.I'd recommend this adapter. Just glue that ring in place.

Do not buy, doesn't fit FD lenses.
So, the most important aspect of an adapter like this is that it fits the lens it's meant to work with. After this didn't find my Canon 50mm 1.8 I assumed it was something I was doing wrong so I went and grabbed my 35 mm. When my 35 mm didn't fit I went down the line and tried ALL my FD lens only to find that not a single one fit with this adapter. While the build is solid and it feels well made the fact that it doesn't fit Canon FD lenses makes it a bit hard for me to recommend it in any way shape or form. Maybe go buy a different adapter instead, that's what I'm going to do.

No infinity focus
The lenses fit great. And the mount connects to e-mount great. The only issue is no infinity focus, which is not much of an issue for me, but some people may not like that. I used this adapter with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 S.S.C. and a Canon 135mm f/2.8.

Deceptive seller hazardus product
Seller claims it's and FL compatible adapter which it is not. Device is cheap painted zinc which flakes off and most alarmingly there are screws sticking out in the mount areas which will damage your camera.

Works like it Should
It will take your old FD lenses and make them work on your A7RII. Perfect.

Needs a more positive detent
The adapter seems to use good materials. However, I returned it since the "Lock/Open" ring has a very low resistance detent and can easily rotate from Lock to Open when not intended.

Robust, well made adapter
This is a pretty simple device, but it is well made, it adds smooth aperture adjustment, and works very well. If you have or want FD lenses for your Sony E mount camera, this is highly recommended. It would be nice if it came with caps, but not a deal breaker by any means.

Infinity Focus does not work
I have the canon fd 70-210 f/4 and I think the distance between the lens and the camera is to far and therefore the infinity focus does not work. I don't know if someone else also has this problem. When I put my lens on infinity the image is still out of focus and it did not pass infinity like other lenses do. I tested it and tried to pull back focus to check but the problem still persisted. I only gave it two stares because of the build quality

It just wouldn't lock in place
Managed to connect this to one FD lens once and took one photo. However that was a fight and a fight I unable to win again.I don't send things back lightly and there was a very polite little note from the Neewer CEO but on this occasion it just didn't work and I'm spending a few quid more on (hopefully) something that does the job.

Sturdy adapter, very tight fit
Very sturdy adapter. The fit onto an FD lens is extremely tight, almost to the point that I feared breaking the lens. If you have difficulty put the lens in one hand and the adapter in the other and push the adapter firmly into the lens while twisting.
